henrywalker
So I have a vision of a big inquisition section to my Grey Knight Apocalypse army and it all comes from an idea for a baneblade conversion. I was looking back at the fortress of arrogance datasheet and i liked the idea so i'm thinking of taking it a step further. what i'm looking at is a big pulpity chapely throney thing mounted on a baneblade (or more likely the one with the megabolter and lots of transport, stormlord i think its called but I can never keep track) I've seen a few a bit like this but non were epic enough for me, i'm looking for something more on this kind of scale Maybe a bit more refined though. I'm basically here looking for any ideas or contributions as to how to convert this thing. One suggestion i've already been given is to use the throne from karamazov's throne of judgement so i've put in an order for one of them. So far i've also ordered a load of bitz from scibor such as angel of death reliefs and such. I think i'll need a scenery box such as the imperial chapel and maybe that church & graveyard thing from fantasy. I'd also like to get the honoured imperium statue in there somewhere. Any one got any thoughts or ideas? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/251302-big-inquisition-banebladey-thing/ Share on other sites
*Furyou Miko
Throne of Judgement, Imperial Bastion (the one with the fort bit and the tower with the angels on the sides), maybe a couple of Exorcist Launchers. Bit of hard foam to carve inquisition =][= symbols from to put on the sides of the tower. The Holy Heretic
Go BIGGER! a) Get 4 baneblades chassis - or preferable something cheaper or homemade from plasticard. :( Then build a giant cathedral on top of the four baneblades with wall sections from the Imperial City Sector. c) Add huge guns. d) Removable roof - as you want it big enough to have a minor battle in, or to use as terrain feature in a normal 40K game e) Fill with pulpits, robed acolytes, marines - and the space pope model at the alter. f) Paint g) Bask in the admiration of lesser gamers :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/251302-big-inquisition-banebladey-thing/#findComment-3046483 Share on other sites
henrywalker
Haha, maybe not quite that epic, i love the idea though. Obviously the baneblade model is massively out of scale but a fullscale version of this might make a good 4X4 table. Then you could motorize it!! Some small electric motors powering wheels hidden by the bulk of the tank (parade float style) Setup a remote contol system! Then you could ride down to your local GW/hobby store crushing your opponents minatures as you leave a trail of destruction! All the while basking in your evil greatness-ness, taunting the lesser! NOTHING WILL DEFEAT YOU!!! . . . Too much? *Furyou Miko
Too much. anything bigger than a Baneblade will be pretty much immobile in actual game terms becausae there won't be space to move it. The Holy Heretic
Of course not. Just give it a rule : Unstopable Behemoth: Remove any piece of terrain getting in contact with the Behemoth. And play on extremely large tables  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/251302-big-inquisition-banebladey-thing/#findComment-3048712 Share on other sites

Bjorn Firewalker
Looking more chaos to me... I second that- it seems dedicated to Khorne, considering the color, daemon heads, spikes, etc. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/251302-big-inquisition-banebladey-thing/#findComment-3049630 Share on other sites

You guys do realize he's asking for recommendations for making an Imperial Version of the Khornate Tower of Skuls (The pictured model) I suggest modifying the top of the Stormlord into a pulpit or throne (possibly using karamazovs throne), then converting the back to be a amphitheater-style U shape, with a bunch of loudhailers mounted on the front to project the voice of the choir of Battle Sisters being transported. Nuns with Guns and 3-part Harmony, the Imperial Tour!
