Qarassen
This is 100 % troll but i get so irritated at people on the black librarys homepage sometimes.. The part that annoys me is as soon a new book/audiobook is out for preorder, often 5 - 10 people rate it 5 of 5 as soon thay see it.. To a newcomer to the B-L site, it´s very misleading to rate anything before it´s come out. i just want to go to these people and scream something about how extraneous comments/ratings like that is.. If anyone who reads this have done a thing like this, please comment why, how this comment/rating is helping us, and why you make a misleading post? 100 % troll, but GAAAAAHHHH it is irritating............ http://www.blacklibrary.com/all-products/butchers-nails.html - This proves my point.. This if something is a "W-T-F - Moment".... And this!? 5 months to release!? http://www.blacklibrary.com/all-products/fear-to-tread.html - "Banging my head to my desk...." Kol Saresk
The only thing I can imagine as to why is because they see a review on it just before it comes out, sees a good review and then BAM! 5 out of 5. And then there is a possibly, small, infinitesimal, one-in-a-million possibility, that a reviewer who already put his review somewhere else is simply copying and pasting his thoughts were the product is sold. Karrious
Don't forget some of these books have been available early at special events. So theirs nothing misleading if these people have already read them. Cyrox
I think it's the equivalent of a 'like button' Maybe they should have one, to stop these fools Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/251322-what-are-people-thinking/#findComment-3046976 Share on other sites
Aegnor
Advance copies come out a Game Days etc and reviewers get advance copies too. So by the time it's put up as available on the website, there are lots of people who have read it... Kol Saresk
Yeah but like he said, most of the people commenting are people who see it, get sauce pan eyes and type away. BL posts links to the reviews on their facebook page and the reviews are always on a different website. Very few of the comments before the book's release are actually from people who have read the book. Qarassen
I think it's the equivalent of a 'like button' Maybe they should have one, to stop these fools That would be quite good, or if the somehow splitt it into 2 groups. 1 for what you hope for 2 for what you think after reading it. Something like that would be good, then you get a good picture of how the writers quality is and so on. Kriegsmacht
This sort of thing isnt really new. Just look at amazon.com. ONce an item comes up for pre-release theres about 5 - 10 so-called reviews pop up either 5 stars or 1 stars and they just say how the item is gonna be either awesome or garbage. Just something to ignore really. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/251322-what-are-people-thinking/#findComment-3047746 Share on other sites
Corsair
Have a look at the page for the Primarchs - there's a whole multi-comment conversation about Lost Primarchs and gods know what else, all taking place with 5/5 scores. Hilariously idiotic Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/251322-what-are-people-thinking/#findComment-3047940 Share on other sites
