I think thatwould look really cool on a sergeant, or some of the other troops. It's just an idea. I want to make my TCs as awesome as possible. I know it originally started with a 5 man squad, is it still on that or has it moved onto something new for June? Instead of doing so many 'slots' every month, how about we go by points? This way, each participant can build their army as they wish, and we can all eventually reach 1500 points side by side. Those that finish the points for the month recieve a 'point', and we can add in special challenges to get extra points, allowing those who may have fallen back due to real life issues a chance to catch back up. Toxichobbit Posted June 9, 2012 Share Posted June 9, 2012 I've had a good read of this thread and researched into the Sons of Medussa and i'm happy to say i'm on board. Two HQs at first sounds easy, as it's only two models, but the more i think about it the more i've jumped in at the deep end. I want to do something unique, going a bit further than just a few bionics and cog symbols. My initial idea is to do a Chaplain and Librarian and come up with some way of combining their respective disciplines with a mechanical theme. So far i've got vague ideas of doing a completely bionic head for the Chaplain, but one that's styled on the skull helms that they mornally wear. The obvious choice is to start with a Necron head and them bulk it out with cruder bionic parts, but i want to get away from the Necron look and turn it into something more Imperial. Replacing the bottom of the head with an osmotic gill would deffinatly do the trick, but i'm not sure if it would make it look less like a skull. I also want to do a scratch built Crozius, some extra wires/pipes and a crozius head that better represents the Sons. If anyone has any ideas for this (links to previous conversions, places to source bits etc), i'd be very interested. I'll probably be picking up the Iron Hands conversion pack from GW as well as the FW character pack, for bionic parts. Probably some of the Iron Warriors stuff too. I jumped on Yiger Claws a few days ago, and it's proving a lot more difficult than I first thought it would. But it's so much fun to be able to craft and create your own take on the chapter. Welcome aboard. Everything I've seen on this thread has been absolutley fantastic. No pressure :D Update on my work (sorry no pictures - Stupid :) camera!) I'm working on modelling some helmets in the style of Tigers to use for the combat squad I'm working on. But I haven't decided my HQs. It's between Captain, Librarian, Chaplain or Biker Chaplain. Eventually, Captain Vetala. The torsos and legs are blu-tacked to temporary bases before I move them to the proper ones, they are basecoated black. I nearly kicked my self when i realised (after i painted the second marine). I'll just have to paint up an apothecary and call it a company command squad... They would be perfect for my Iron Warriors and been wondering how to do it for a while. Also amazing models people, would have joined this myself if I'd had the time/money/ability to pick one of the badab armies I love more than another.
