Actual Scale Wolves

Thought it was about time I posted some pics of my Wolves after being a long time lurker. I originally got into the hobby about 20 years ago when the first wave of space wolf models were released. Sort of lost interest after having cataracts removed from both eyes about 10 years ago. Anyway my interest was renewed after seeing some great conversions of marines on these and other forums. Now I know actual scale marines are not everyones cup of tea but I really like them and well, thats all that counts really. These days I have to wear 2 sets of specs at once so I can see the detail close up and it can be a struggle at times with small detail. Anyway any feed back will be appreciated (good or bad).

Exquisite modelling work, surprisingly crisp use of putty (I can never get edges that tidy with Green Stuff, I have to turn to Milliput for that). The only criticism I can add is to echo hendrik and Kassill regarding their chests. The width of the chests is appropriate, but they seem too shallow. A 1-2mm plasticard spacer between the chest halves might help (coupled with placing the head towards the back of the now-oval-shaped socket, which increases the apparent depth of the chest).

Appreciate the comments, as regard depth of chest they do actually have at least a 1mm space between the chest halves. It may be that the stomach area is to small and makes the depth of chest appear "out". I'll mess around a bit with the next lot I make to see if I can improve that area.

I really can't say much that others haven't - incredibly nice paint work and even nicer scale-modelling :teehee: I especially love the pony-tailed guy with axe/pistol, he fits my vision of a hulking, badass yet heroic and strong - hope to see more of this Greybeard :P
I think these look pretty sweet, I wish I could appreciate the back packs, but I just don't have it in me... I've always disliked the angled wolf head, it just looks odd to me... Personal preference... My favoriate is also the dude with the bolt pistol and axe...
I hear what you say about the back packs, my intention was not to use them on every model, just characters and wolf guard really. I do quite like them and always have really, hard to believe the originals are almost 20 years old now. Not sure about the width of them anyway as I know some peeps use wider back packs on the larger marines. Still I got to practice mould making and resin casting on them anyway, with varying degrees of success.
