No worries about being blunt, and thanks for organizing this! It'll help motivate me to get more of my guys built and painted. I'm already two models into my tactical squad, I'll hunt up a link to my WIP thread and throw it in here. I'll be updating the two threads simultaneously.

I believe, unless someone corrects me, you can't. You can still post the power armoured models though.

I'd be a little sneaky here and "innocently" place my guard units in the close background of any PA pics I may post, or post them elsewhere like Dakka and link them in your posts.

DGF WIP post 1

So, I won't post all of my WIP shots here, as there are quite a few of them, but I will throw up a link to my (now dead) WIP thread.Minotaur WIP

But here are some new shots for you all to look at.

My three newest guys. Sergeant in the middle, tech-specialist in the background, heavy bolter marine on the right.

Tech specialist's bolter. The idea here was to combine the auspex and weapon sight, hence the little punch-pad on top of the weapon.



And finally, after flooding this thread with a bazillion images, a shot at the techie's backpack.



Whew. So. Comments and criticisms welcome. That's half of the squad mostly built.

Also, just noticed that I need to drill out the sergeant's pistol barrel. Sigh.

So ive decide im going to role three imminent projects into this one - a friend of mine wants to start but doesnt have much money, soooo im going to rehabilitate some older miniatures from ebay and create a SM codex legal army for under $200AUS and with about 1500pts. No filler and all thriller.Im also going to build my sterngaurd models ive been designing for ages as well as my ambitious dreadnought conversion ideas - SoM suits all that just fine :lol:.

 

Ill have some pics of the liberated minis soon, so on with the show -

 

 

Great ideas there DGF, im absolutley mad for all things mechanicum and i think the auspex/gun sight idea is amazing and ill have to give it a go! Also that sergeant looks dynamic and poweful cant wait to see him painted :)

 

Ive added a few more force commanders who have signed up, but if your names not on the list and you want it to be (or if i mispelt youre name) just PM me and ill fix it.

Are you still taking contributors, and is this open to other scales? I've got an Epic-scale Novamarines force that needs working on... Otherwise, it'd be a great excuse for me to finish off my 28mm Novamarines. They've been languishing in WIP mode for a year or so now, while I tried to work out a suitable vehicle scheme.
