One of the highlights of the Wolf Guard Terminator is his adaptability. He can run any of a large number of options, and each member of the pack can be as different as desired. Whereas the typical Codex Terminator squad is either "tactical" (Stormbolters and Power Fists) or "close combat" (Lightning Claws/Thunderhammer & Stormshield) - WGTDA can mix and match ranged capability and close combat power in a single unit. Plus the advantage of either low I/high S or high I/low S on a per model, as-needed basis makes for a great many versatile choices.

So, what do you want them to have as their primary role? What is your intended use for this unit is your list? A few more specifics will help to clarify the advice given to you. :(

Read this thread: CC Wolf Guard Squad Loadout.

There is a lot of discussion in there about how to equip Wolf Guard Terminators.

As for your Wolf Lord, I'll let you in on a 40k secret: there are almost no advantages to putting characters in Terminator Armour. There hasn't been since 2nd Edition. It's a damned shame really, and I'm hoping GW will make some changes in the next edition to bring back the viability of TDA equipped heroes.

Instead of TDA, for the exact same points, you can equip your Wolf Lord in Runic Armour. With RA, you'll have the same 2+/4++ saves as TDA, but will have the following additional advantages:

1. You'll have an additional attack in close combat, because you get to keep your pistol.

2. You get to keep your grenades.

3. You can still conduct a Sweeping Advance.

4. You get a 5+ save against Psychic attacks.

5. You only take up one slot in Transports.

6. You get to ride in all transports (I.e Rhinos and Razorbacks).

7. You can select a Thunderwolf Mount.

There are no advantages to taking TDA over RA.

Well damn I have them half assembled for display at the moment and when I get into the game proper I want them game ready. But I managed to get my hands on some rare earth magnets so have so far wolf claws, thunder hammer and frost axe with storm shield working on storm bolter atm. Plan for their use, without any wisdom to the contrary, was leading from the front. I was going to gear them to close combat and mount them in a LR Crusader. Mostly cos it looks so cool. But when it come time to gaming I may go for the runic armour option.

Will work to 3000 points too, I think.

Thanks all for your help. I will be posting up some pics soon to sahre some progress

Runic/Belt is 5 points more than terminator armor. For a wolf lord I would entirely agree with you, but it is slightly more expensive.
