New Wolf.

The most common build is built around a Rune Priest HQ, Grey Hunters with Melta and Long Fangs normally toting Missile Launchers both Rhinos and Razorbacks with Las Plas most common can be succesful.

Other succesful builds can be seen with Thunderwolves and Terminators.

Of course this could all change in 2 months time when we see sixth.

My advice is pick the units you think sound cool and work it out from there.

Hail brother! Have an ale, and take a sit right there. Keep your head up and ears perked, as this forum is full of information that is very useful!

Yes, if you want to go for a competitve list, then by all means, Rune Priest, Grey Hunters, and Long Fangs + Missiles should be your core. These list can still be tailored though to be not quite as cookie cutter as the next.

And then, you can also just throw all this to the side and do like a few here (littlbitz comes to mind) and use units and combinations not commonly seen and still do really well, if not awesome!

So, take a look around little brother, check out the Space Wolves List sub forum up above, and feel free to ask any more questions.

Welcome to the forums. I cannot see runepriests and grey hunters becoming horrible in 6th edition. So I would pick up a box or two of the "Space Wolves" plastic kit. Make up some units, maybe a wolfguard or two, and a rune priest. Then decide if you like drop pods or rhinos. Grab 2 of those for your grey hunter squads.

BAM! 2 troops and 1 HQ. 20 wolves in either lunchboxes (rhinos) or falling boxes.

Welcome pup.

yes as mentioned above, only thing I would throw in there is most SW armies include at lease one unit of scouts.

Other than that you know the drill, get your two troop choices and if you do decide to go with Drop Pods then the Space Wolf army box is a pretty good deal. If your thinking of a 1500 point army, you might even consider getting two of them to save money in the long run.

If Psychic Powers become random draws at the start of the game as they are in fantasy I wouldn't think Rune Priests will be as prevalent any more, of course this is only one rumour.
