madmutt
My blood angels army is going on really nicely, and I need to get an HQ to lead it :P Mephiston seems to be a logical choice, but unfortunately the GW model just does not give him justice.... So, I was looking at the Astorath model http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/...Id=prod1160025a - which has an amazing and epic pose. All that really needs to be done is to change the axe for a sword, and get rid of the wings and replace them for a hood/backpack (although I am slightly tempted to keep them... :) ) anyway, I was wondering whether anyone here has done the same? (so I can have some inspiration) or has any advice for me? I have done conversions before, but I'm not too keen on using too much green stuff. thanks in advance! Malatox
Do you mean like this? http://www.spacewithinspace.net/images/projectlog/December17_1.jpg Btw, not my model, I just remembered seeing it and thought it'd maybe help. Malatox
SnorriSnorrison
I'd cut off the legs, though. If you look at the original model you'll find that Mephiston has normal power-armoured feet and probably legs too, so if you go without any robes better use other legs. Malatox That I believe, is DV8"s Mephy. And yes, it is quite epic. -CC

Axira
I do belive that the arms are from regular marines, and he just placed different hands on them! BUT, that is just my thought!

MayorDaley
@DV8 By the Emperor's holy, hairy, arse... that is the BEST looking Meph conversion I have seen yet!!! You nailed the power that he radiates. I will now try my feeble hand at a Meph conversion.
