28th of the 8th

[Kraull the Rampager]

I've wanted to post this for a while. Except I wanted to fix the format of my writings so that it was easy to read, and hopefully not boring.

 

Anyhow, here's a general overview of my Warband.

 

The 28th Company of the VIII Legion, The Brothers of Anarchy.

 

The 28th Company is led by Captain Garadon, or more commonly, Garadon the Harrowing. Amongst the brothers of the VIII Legion, the Prince of Shadows, Lord of the Carrion, and the Duke of Terror. The latter titles, are inside attempts at sarcastic humour within the Night Lords legion, referencing the Harrowing's upbringing as a gang lord's son.

 

Garadon is an original member of the Night Lords. Being inducted as a young boy from a gang lord family. His induction was relatively late in the heresy, serving a mere five decades until the heresy. In his few decades amongst the Legion, he learned much from his gene-father, learning the legion's way swiftly. It took six millenia before Garadon became Commander of the 28th, first attaining claw championship sometime in the earlier millenia, then serving as a member of his former captain's bodyguard, the Atramentar. His promotion after his former captain's demise, was at the cost of no less than 4 claw champions and former Atramentar veterans within the warband.

 

About the 28th:

The 28th company are rather under strength considering the past. Numbering somewhere between 80 and 140 astartes. They often sell their services as infiltrators for other Chaos warbands in exchange for powerful weapons, ammunition, gene-seed and slaves. They use these opportunities to continue the long war, the spread of pain and dread amongst the Imperium, and the xenos of the galaxy.

 

Doctrine:

As the 28th often strike against the Imperium, several devices are employed against the civilian populace, interrupting vox transmissions, musical channels, monitor channels and televised channels. Even basic lighting and mobile devices are interrupted. Those devices that produce sound begin to unleash the wailing of tortured victims, the screams of the deceased, strange daemonic howls and an underlying static, that drains the morale of the planet. Vox screens, or televised monitors begin to show warped pictures, flashing colours designed to put mortals on edge, images of destruction, war, and torture, as well as the background hint of a daemon infestation.

These devices are merely the beginning of a lightning war against the populaces food supplies, outskirt populations, water supplies and smaller military targets. It is not unknown for the 28th Company to create full blown rebellions by trampled masses, or penal worlds of the Imperium, or even the use of daemons, to further enhance the fear tactics, depending on the stoic resistance of the world, and the availability of the link to the warp.

 

Alliances:

The 28th is known to have many pacts amongst the traitor forces. As well as many hostilities due to their near sell-sword nature. Currently, they hold pacts with Gurglish the Ever-Rotting, Plague Prince of the Black Legion, Kraull the Rampager, of the World Eaters, and several other Chaos Champions, who are currently engaged marshalling forces on the port world, Traba Custodis, otherwise known as The Hive.

In order to avoid dragging the post on. I'll leave the fluff there for now. However, I have a short history of recorded actions of the 28th, as well as some notes on a few notable members.
