Crystal Geyser
So I'm doing a preheresy campaign this summer. My list features troops in drop pods, predators in vindicators, Tigurius, and Sicarius (obviously counts-as). I'm on Team Traitor. I like Emperor's Children for color scheme and Fulgrim, but I don't know how I'd apply it to vehicles or do them in a way that hasnt been done to death yet. EC are popular for preh. Sicarius has very EC-type rules, though. Iron Warriors have a color scheme done to death. But Perturabo is cool. As are the 3 heavy tanks in my list, which i get to put thinks like barbed wire and chains on if I do IW. Night Lords -their color scheme can be used postH. Doesn't really make sense for my list, but hey. Whatever. I don't think anyone's doing World Eaters, but my list REALLY doesn't work for that. Malatox
Have you thought about The sons of Horus/Luna Wolves? Interesting colour schemes, an awesome Primarch, easy customisable thanks to Space Wolf range and fluffy if you're using Drop-Pods and the like. Sicarius also fits in with that, I could see a Luna Wolf captain being just like him. Kierdale
Your inclusion of Tigurius makes me suggest my beloved Sons of Magnus ;) but I also think Malatox has a nice idea with the Lunar Wolves or Sons of Horus. I haven't seen many as the Lunar Wolves actually, if you can pull off the colour well enough. dustermaker
You could make the list fit the Night Lords, they weren't all jetpacks and batwings. They were about fear and overwhelming force! Crystal Geyser
The reason Thousand Sons and Luna Wolves aren't on the list is because people are doing them already ;) Shame. CyderPirate
If it wasn't for the librarian, Death Guard would be a pretty good fit. Iron Warriors still seem your best bet, why not tweak the colour scheme a bit if there's stuff you don't like? What about Lutherian Dark Angels? World Eaters could be made to work - the drop pod assaults smell of WE brutality, and Sicarius' special CC ability, and his trick of giving a unit counter-attack would fit. Vidicators less so, but even Angron's lunatics need something to level fortifications before they charge in. Crystal Geyser
I considered the Fallen, but then I realized they were stuck running a training camp while the entire Heresy happened around them, so I wouldn't even get to play in the campaign. Although it would work perfectly for my list (Luther as Sicarius, Zarahiel as Tigurius). Kierdale
You haven't decided yet? I don't think anyone's mentioned Word Bearers yet. How about them? I've seen a few Great Crusade era WBs done and they look outstanding when done well. Schultzhoffen
Sons of Horus/Luna Wolves. At least they function as a cohesive force. Plus, the Sicarius Model would make an excellenct Luna Wolves/SHorus Captain. Crimson Hawk
I suppose Alpha Legion would work; Sicarius can let one Tactical Squad Infiltrate, and with Drop Pods continuing the 'element of surprise' theme, and obviously Tigirius can let you re-roll reserves. And no reason why Alpha Legion wouldn't use tanks as well.
