Grey Knights vs Tyranids

This post is my first battle report, my friend and I played a 800 point battle Tyranids (Me) vs Grey Knights (Brandon aka Spider-man). This is the short version, theres more details and pictures on my blog.

The board was terrain heavy with 3 big buildings and a central tower.

 

Deployment

Spiderman won the roll for deployment and elected to go second. My deployment the Tyrant and Shrikes are hiding behind the building in the right hand corner with both the Genestealer squads Outflanking and Deathleaper laying hidden in ambush somewhere. Spiderman deployed in the opposite corner with no reserves and his Inquisitor rolled Vampire, and Poison (2+).

 

 

Turn 1

Both the Tyrant and the Shirkes flew up taking shelter just behind the centre tower. The Grey Knights shuffled forward and took aim at the advancing monsters. Crowe ran forward instead. Purifier Squad #2 shot at the Shirkes, 6 Stormbolter shots, 3 Hits, 2 Wounds, 2 Passed Saves. The Terminators shoot at the Shirkes also, 8 Stormbolter shots, 5 Hits, 4 Wounds, 2 Failed saves on the Shirkes. The Inquisitor shoots the Shirkes, 2 Shots, 2 Hits, 1 Wound, 1 Failed save. The First Purifier squad shot the Shirkes, 6 Stormbolter shots, 5 Hits, 2 Wounds, 1 Failed saved and 1 dead Shirke.
