J!MM!L!C!OUS
Hi Folks, This guy is as of yet unpainted, and I don't even have a place for him in my 1500pt army, but stuff happen yeah? I was bored and thought I'd see what I could do - anyway, let me know what you think, and if you have any suggestions for making his armous more articifer like that would be cool (but no GS sculpting - I'm crap). Cheers, Jimmi http://i281.photobucket.com/albums/kk208/2ndshot/3.jpg http://i281.photobucket.com/albums/kk208/2ndshot/2.jpg http://i281.photobucket.com/albums/kk208/2ndshot/1.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/251991-my-diy-techmarine/ Share on other sites
nurglespuss
Its very inventive and a sleeker route than the traditional harness. However, it does remind me of Kryten's groinal attachment.... http://www.ladyofthecake.com/reddwarf/assets/images/kryten04.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/251991-my-diy-techmarine/#findComment-3055806 Share on other sites

Can I ask what you used for the extra arms? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/251991-my-diy-techmarine/#findComment-3055813 Share on other sites
J!MM!L!C!OUS
Sure, the extra arms are made from the cables that stem from heavy weapons back packs, topped with either chainswords, or in the case of the plasma/flamer a lascannon muzzle, metal sight and flamer tank :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/251991-my-diy-techmarine/#findComment-3055814 Share on other sites

Ironwrought Huw
any suggestions for making his armous more articifer like that would be cool Perhaps add more cables/wires/pipes to his armour? Such as spare cables from models like the one on the missile launcher (that goes under the marine's arm), or the pipe on the meltagun. If you can get thin plastic-coated wires from a DIY store, you could try using those. Was that what you meant? As a fan of both Red Dwarf's Kryten and techmarines (the latter to an obsessive level), I love the conversion. It's a really nice, unique and characterful conversion. The only things I would have done would be to use a head or helmet with bionics. Still, I really like the conversion:) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/251991-my-diy-techmarine/#findComment-3055844 Share on other sites
