Colonel_ Logan
Greetings fellow B&C members, after a 3 year hiatus from the hobby I have returned, and dived straight back in with my beloved Space Marines. Previously I have always used DIY chapters, but this time i've decided to do a few small armies of Marines around some of my favourite 'official' chapters. First up is the Scythes of the Emperor, i've always painted my DIY shoulderpads, but for the Scythes this is beyond my abilities so am looking for Decal advice. I bought some waterslide transfer paper (for inkjet printers) and used it in my inkjet printer to print the Scythes decal page kindly created by someone on these pages, however when i try to use the decals the ink either comes off in the water, or when I attempt to slide it onto the shoulderpad, are there any other options? opinions? i've also always painted my own Tactical, devastator symbols but attempted to use the GW waterslide transfers this time, only to find they don't sit very well on the model! i may just have to brush up my freehand a bit more. i'm quite rusty. Brother Nihm
It sounds like you need to use sealant/varnish on your decals after printing. Take a look here for the rundown that I use: link Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/252220-using-decals-questions/#findComment-3059023 Share on other sites
