Index Astartes The Malice Whispers Space Marines Origins 117290M40 An obscure xenos threat known as the Ghot begins incuring into Imperium space. The Imperial Guard of the sub-sector reported extreme strain on their lines. The Malice Whispers were designed from the Imperial fists Gene-seed to combat this threat. They were set up on the world Hysir, They have continued the tradition of the world of no symbols beyond the use of colors. This has caused slight questionability to their loyalty, but they have proven themselves over and over again in their constant use of attrition campaigns to preserve the purity of their minds. 258290M40 The earliest large battle with the Ghot took place merely months after being founded the entrenched Teth 103rd called for reinforcements against the largest incursion of Ghot yet seen at the time. By the time that the Malice Whispers 6th Siege brigade landed, the ghot had already assembled their bio towers and other living fortifications. before the Malice Whispers could get their artillery set up the Ghot sent six waves of warriors to soften up the forces of the Imperium. This was pressed back but not soon enough to be prepared for the Fusillade from the bio towers, the acid sacs burst across the trenches killing many guardsmen and maiming many others. The attack lasted for hours before letting up the return report from the Malice whispers artillery rang out along with the crack of the entry of drop pods into the Ghot base. The naturally fragile Ghot gene-archs were slain quickly sending the rest of their force into a mindless attack against all that was near. but their now disordered demeanor made slaying the remnants a simple task. Though it's status as a loyal world has been under question many times, as the culture of the planet has refused symbolism. Though they have been in question, they have always proven themselves loyal and noble followers of the Emperor.
