thenewtype
I really love the model overall. Only thing I would suggest is a bigger man reaper on Mortarion Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/252255-mortarion-primarch-of-the-death-guard/#findComment-3059556 Share on other sites
Dude with a Brush
I really love the model overall. Only thing I would suggest is a bigger man reaper on Mortarion Indeed especially blade could be bigger and little thicker Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/252255-mortarion-primarch-of-the-death-guard/#findComment-3059725 Share on other sites
empchildrenbob
yea, looking at it again the scythe is pretty small. Dark Apostle Thirst
Also, the pose is a little weird; what's he supposed to be doing? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/252255-mortarion-primarch-of-the-death-guard/#findComment-3059893 Share on other sites
empchildrenbob
Just standing at attention. i didnt think the pose looked wierd but hey.. :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/252255-mortarion-primarch-of-the-death-guard/#findComment-3059945 Share on other sites
Belchuil
Yeah looks good, as has been said bigger blade imho, but great otherwise  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/252255-mortarion-primarch-of-the-death-guard/#findComment-3060053 Share on other sites
Tybrus
I think the "weird" from the pose is from the blade facing backwards, as there is no reason to hold it so. If you flip the blade I think you will gain alot, if you rotate the hand 30 degrees or so I think you will have what your looking for, as if he is spreading a plague, or blessing his warriors.... My 2 cents Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/252255-mortarion-primarch-of-the-death-guard/#findComment-3061738 Share on other sites
nurglespuss
I like it, its quite understated and muted. Though I agree, the scythe direction is distracting, and nothing 'draws' you into the face? http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-UEc0BjPPc_U/T66Aj5Hy33I/AAAAAAAABh0/6EwI1aIa3VM/s1600/011.JPG Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/252255-mortarion-primarch-of-the-death-guard/#findComment-3061759 Share on other sites
Dammeron
Love it. Very interesting take on old Morty; the idea of using Sauron as a basis for so gaunt and tall a character is inspired. dizzy-xc
Great model! I echo a few sentiments on wanting more of an action pose... and why not exagerate the scythe? Its fine the size it is, but isnt bigger always better? Aww shucks, I live in Texas. It'd be twice that size here for sure! Olgerth Istaarn
I thought it was great until I saw his feet. The scythe is fine. It could be bigger, but it doesn't have to be. But the foot wraps? Really? Is he a space mummy or a primarch? His feet look thin, puny and unable to support all of that otherwise glorious bulk. Give him some proper boots to stomp decaying corpses. empchildrenbob
Foot wraps? Do the feet really look out of scale. The base of the model is from the lotr sauron model, that's how they came. nurglespuss
I don't think its the scale really, but the shape. Astartes dont have long thin feet like that armour. with the rounded contours of power armour they look odd.
