Godhead
I want to run a list that has 3 squads of TWC (I have 3 boxes of them) I also want to include Canis with 8 to 10 fen wolves. Help me squeeze everything else I would need to run a relatively viable list at 2000 points. What do you think would be necessary to make a list like this work. I don't want a list that is annihilation only (so running all fen wolves as troops isn't what I'd like to see). What else works with a list like this? Min sized troops to have more scoring units? Bigger sized troop squads to have more durability but less scoring units overall (need to count more on contesting opponents objectives), runepriest? No runepriest? What to use as fire support? Longfangs... Razorspam instead? What? Help me solve the riddle of the Thunderwolves. Godhead
It's a fun all wolf force that relies on annihilation only. I was looking more toward a list that can actually claim objectives plus the TWC. "Fun" and all wolf force do not really mesh together all that well. If you want a "fun" list, run a balanced force so your opponent can have fun too. I've played plenty TWC armies since they are rampant in my meta, they are not fun to play against. If you want to claim objectives take a few small Grey hunter packs with in a rhino. Jarl Kjaran Coldheart
i would start cramming as many 10 strong GH packs in Rhinos you can squeeze into the list...and possibly drop Canis. guy is a joke. Godhead
So I have been wracking my brain trying to figure out how to make it work...and I kind of decided to give up and thought about tweaking the list that I have been playing regularly in the 3 recent tournaments I have been in. After trying to figure out how to reconfigure my scouts to ensure they have a more viable inpact on my games I finally just decided to drop them. This suddenly netted me 200 points. Hmmmmmnnnn 10 more points and i can run a 3rd pack identical to the two I already run. Hmmmmnnnnnn my meltas and combi meltas have been doing absolutely nothing for me. So I just say shenanigans and drop my two combi meltas and then whalah!!!! 3 packs of TWC in my list. I don't have a Canis, nor do I have a TW Lord of cool...... but I have 3 packs of Wolves in a list that can actually claim objectives. I'll drop the list over in the Army List section and throw up a link... let me know what you guys think. http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/index.p...howtopic=252396 Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/252339-3-squads-of-twc-and-what-else/#findComment-3061314 Share on other sites
