Dave Paints....... for Worthy Painting

Dear Self-proclaiming Davey80y. Models are nice. However these all have the hollow hallmark of a modern commission painter. The complete reliance on airbrushing everything to death leaves the army lacking; Metals, faces and other details are neglected. Instead of enhancing to the models I feel they are in a blotchy overpowering airbrushing spew. The less is more rule surely comes to mind here and should be applied in the future. Okay just some C and C - don't cry. Apart from that the models have real potential.

the nerve of me eh!! can you believe that i chose to paint my mini's in a style that i like and to be self proclaiming as well (what I've proclaimed I'm not sure but....) :-P

these prob aren't going to impress brother caliban but i like how they turned out (I'm going for a upper table top standard i think they fit the bill) :-)

You're right, he could never do work like this.

Oh wait, he did these. :)

Although we are all entitled to our own opinions, let alone our own personal approaches on how we elect to paint our minis; if we could all play nicely that would be greatly appreciated

well said :-)

on with the next project now! time for a bit of commission work i think..... maybe some more pyron marine's (the white and red one's)

@ Davey80y, the 'self proclaiming' comment was merely making fun at the post title. My comment is nothing more than an expression of frustration at my own shortcoming being unable to complete an army, owning no such airbrush and generally possessing some models that look like shart in comparison to those featured here.

Best.

C.

I like the shiny but worn look of the Grey Knights. You certainly do have impressive painting skills both with a brush and airbrush. My only criticism would be that the OSL on the Knights looks a little inconsistent from marine to marine. It may just be the pictures or the way that I'm looking at them but it catches my eye none the less.

I think you're a bit off on your calculations when you painted over the original size of the cartridges. 75 MM is a HUGE round. Like, artillery.

And .75 MM is, well, miniscule.

Nice stencils though. ;)

here ya go :-

if you wanna see more pic's there here...... WORTHY PAINTING (especially if you have some spare cash to hand :-)
