Hey-ooo

Do not think with all the terrain I am doing I forgot the Inquisition.

While at my FLGS to pick up some scenery for the next tile,my special order came in.

The Finecast Inquisitor with Inferno pistol.

Wait a minute I hear you say,you already did him he is a few pages back.

Yes but not in Finecast which is a converters dream compared to metal.

Using him as the base I was finally able to recreate my Favorite character of all time, Inquisitor Gregor Eisenhorn.

I tried to make him four times before all of them crappy, even though at the time I was happy with them.

I guess pratice makes perfect because I finally nailed it.

I used dragonforge small cable for his scalp wires which leads to the power unit on his back.

The head is from the Forge World Enforcer which has that great dead fish stare.

The staff headpiece is clipped from the Black Library Eisenhorn miniature as heretical as it sounds.

But that mini is awful, looks more like Mr.Burns going on a rampage through Springfield :D

Babarastater is the handle from the witchunter and the blade from the baneblade commander.

I have started on the forrest tile(In truth now it is finished and basecoated, forgot to take pics :( )

http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc52/Esinhorn/001-144.jpg

I used a Celuclay/Ultracal mix to raise the ground level so the trees all blend in.

Funny thing I added deadfall while it was drying outside and a bird thought it was just what thier bedroom needed.

I came out to a bare patch where the stick was

Lemons into Lemonade I was able to model a large puddle :D

But the exiciting thing

My brother must of brought these in the doorway from outside but never told me.

He is funny like Rainman, would not stop calling and texting me avout mechwarrior online, but does not think to tell me I have GIANT BOXES outside <_<

http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc52/Esinhorn/008-69.jpg

My Zone Mortalis has arrived, that little speck on the floor is this guy

http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc52/Esinhorn/009-59.jpg

I am going to need a bigger brush ;)

Ok I have the forrest tile finnaly sorted out.

I was origianlly using dead twigs as deadfall but once primed the two different type of wood just smacked you in the face.

Sooo I took a plastic tree half and made a cast of that.

I made 3 tree halfs and glued them tto the base.

Now the deadfall matches the trees, infact now I have fell trees which is what I wanted in the first place

If you look at the one fallen tree at the bottom you see the hole the bird made when he stole the first twig when it was drying.

That will be perfect for Water Effects

I have a total of 9 GW trees for this board a respectable forrest for any table.

I have the next tile finished,it is one of the vanilla flat tiles.

In truth the rest of the enitre board is at the point where it just needs a couple hours drybrushing except for the flat vanilla skull tile.

Still have to make that one, then like said I have one last flat tile to theme.

Might just throw it in the closet until new terrain comes out,who knows.

No one idea has bit me in the ass yet.

I also completed my modular hill set,two sets truth be told.

You need to buy two mod hill sets to get this hill.Otherwise you have to use it on the board edge.

This way I can set the board up as a valley, throw this in the middle and viola instant mountain terrain, perfect for the Hymilzayas :)

I added a little gold static grass to add a spot of color.

The rust on that crashed Arvarus Lighter is excellent. May I ask how you achieved it? I'd like to have patches of rust on a dead tank column I'm making for my board.

Also, which colours did you use to paint the board itself? Great work all round :eek

The Rust was a Tamiya Hull Red basecoat, then I applied every Mig Rust powder they make.

Make pretend you are painting countries on a globe start with the dark rust paint a bunch of countries then on to standard again paint more countries with the powder having the two colors touch then onto light rust,I then used pigment fixer to well fix it in place permenant like.

I tend to leave large armor plates a dark rust color and any fiddly bit and bolts the light rust.

The board is black basecoat w/ Army painter leather lightly dusted on in a patchy fashion.

Then I bust out the 2" Purdy brush and use various earth tones until I reach what I feel is a realistic earth color.

I find craft store paints are excellent for tables I am using Folk Art and Martha Stewart(which funny as it sounds is a very impressive range for dirt cheap)

I have the next vanilla board finished, this is the flat skull tile.

As soon as I drybrush the valley tiles the board will be finished but for that last theme tile.

I started on the first Mortalis tile to see how I will tackle this project.

The tiles come in a black resin so using straight black primer could leave alot of bare spots, plus I have all the concrete too.

So I used Tamiya Grey primer to lightly basecoat the tile,I then used Alclad Black Spray Primer on anything I am going to paint mettalic.

I then noticed usless I want to spend forever hand painting the floor I was going to have to make a mask for the conctete.

I used a piece of computer paper and a pencil to make a rubbing of the tile which I then cut out with sisciors,I plan to do this again then transfer the image onto cardstock for a more durable mask.

But as long as I do not flood it the paper shoud suffice it fit so snug I had to use my hobby knife to remove the mask

Here is the tile weathered up with the final paint sceme.

I used AK streaking grimes (Standard,Rust,Winter,Dark) and worked them into the biege walls.

I used AK Blue-Brown very thinned as a filter for the floor and thicker for all the rivets.

Then when the floor was dry I added a filter of Winter Grime over all the concrete on the floor.

This one took me two days but I think I can easily knock it down to one.

With 15 more to do,I better be fast. ;)

Alrighty then

I have the next tile prepped, this one is the T-corridor.

The prepping consists of scrubing the tile in the sink with soap and a srcubby, rinsing and let dry.

Then the whole tile is primed with Tamiya Grey Fine Surface Primer.

Then I used Alclad airbrush black primer to preshade.

http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc52/Esinhorn/016-29.jpg

I also worked on Eisenhorn a bit, changed the skull that was bothering me,the green was taking the focus off the model.

I repainted it Grey

I then spray Model-Air Hull Red on the walls, the floor gets Steel on the edges.

Once dry sponge on masking fluid and spray the wall Barley Grey

Once remove the masking fluid
