LotD Sergeant with PF

Looking for ideas on how to convert LotD Sergeants to give them Power Fists.

 

For the first one, I have already got the (metal) Chaplain with PF model (Broodlord pose) with it's great skeletal markings, but am daunted by the prospect of converting the crozius. The long handle extends back to the body, so maybe I can keep that part and turn it into a (non-I6) halberd.

Looking for images/inspiration for the gun/bayonet end.

 

For the second, I plan to use one of the stock LotD sergeants (especially now they're in okcast), and am looking for suitable fist donors. Any suggestions?

Well, now that this chaplain you have is available in metal, you must be kinda angry, I guess. Nevertheless it shouldn't be too much of a problem if you decide to use the cutter and cut off the expand on the chaplain's body. It would be better in fact than to place a helberd as it would be a second (!) close combat weapon. I'd also cut off the hand and place a weapon of my choice there (you certainly have any bolt pistol or combi weapon leftover).

 

Well, every Dark Angel player that uses veterans/marines in robes will certainly have some Power fist that he/she doesn't need. There is one per five Marines with robes. If you don't know any Dark Angel player and if you don't have any Power fists leftover yourself than you might go for the most amazing PF-Bit that is available: Pedro Kantor!! His power fist has a great pose and the model comes along with so many useful bitz.

 

I hope I helped you a bit. This conversions shouldn't be too hard as it is only replacing hands. But I hope you'll post some photos when you're done, though B)

Which LotD sergeant do you have? the one from the box set or the one from the blister pack? Either way its a matter of lopping the old arm off and replacing it with a suitable replacement, making sure to pin it for stability since it is metal.

 

As far as inspiration for powerfist I will make the following suggestions:

Sternguard sergeant with powerfist

2005 gamesday limited edition space marine sergeant model

Pedro Kantor (though I've always thought his powerfist seemed stubby)

Games Workshop limited edition space marine sergeant (the one posed on a rock with his powerfists' fingers in a "hold your fire men" pose

OOP Chaos Lord powerfist (holding a space marine helmet easily converted to be a chaos helmet with some minor work)

Sanguinary Guard powerfist (it's plastic!)

The chaplain you mentioned in your opening post is also quite nice.

 

As for the spear end:

Asterion Moloch's Black Spear
