neonfunk
So it's often been mentioned as a synergystic combo, involving the libby riding in the raven and travelling FLAT OUT, and casting the shrouding to improve the cover save by +1, thereby giving a 3+ cover save. I just wanted to clarify: Is this rule predicated on the fact that the stormraven is attaining it's cover save due to moving flat out? OR is it based on the where the storm raven finishes it's move in cover? I guess what I really want to know is... can we still claim a 3+ cover save even if the storm raven DOESNT travel at flat out? And how about shrouding and other vehicles? Would moving say, a Chimera at max speed and casting shrouding (with the Chimera finishing its move NOT in cover) would also gain a 3+ cover save? (4+ for moving at max speed + shrouding) Please forgive my beginner's query. I have searched the rule book thoroughly and have not found anything pertaining to vehicles getting saves dependent on velocitcy in regards to SHOOTING. I know that vehicle velocity plays a part in assaulting vehicles, but what about shơting? Many thanks in advance for any advice. I would like to obtain some well informed info before I go purchase and build a SR Kind Regards, Neonfunk Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/252432-storm-raven-and-libby-combo/ Share on other sites
Inquisitor Fox
It's because the vehicle in question traveled more than 12". A Chimera or a tank can never get that save because of the speed limitation, it only is possible for a Fast vehicle to move fast enough to get a cover save from movement. T3mpl@r Crusade
if your already in cover, its +1 to your save, so if you turbo boosted, that would give you cover, and similarly if you managed to hide the storm raven behind a sizable object. if you are in the open, you can give give yourself a 6+ cover save, and if you have another casting of shrouding close by, it will stack as +1 for giving cover, and +1 for conferring stealth. however, if cover is already being given, then only the +1 from stealth will be applied. (meaning you cant have +1 [stealth] and +1[stealth] and +1 [stealth] and so on Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/252432-storm-raven-and-libby-combo/#findComment-3062778 Share on other sites
