T3mpl@r Crusade
Hello I'm currently on a Europe trip, and though it would be appropriate to visit a Games workshop in each city I go to :) and buy one thing in each store. It's a little cheaper in Europe then in Canada What Ive currently accumulated is: 2 boxes of GK PA 1 razorback 1 coteaz I plan on magnetizing the razorback for all variants (yay) But i can't decide if I want to build strike/interceptor (i magnetize the packs for both) or purifiers with halberds, or a purgation squad. My current army has no purgation squads in any list since I often rely on my PA for strike or interceptor use, however If i had enough heavy weapons I would likely use them. each box allow for 3 heavy weapon equips, 1 incinerator, and 2 psycannons, an ill likely only use 2 of them and magnetize the wrists for both weapon options in any squad type. I only have 2 (10 man)strike/interceptor squads as of now, and at lower points, I tend to use them both for troops. I believe this begs the question: purifiers or purgation? if you were to go purifiers, would you go for full 10 man? or razorback and go 6 man. I could likely squeeze the 6th man from a regular strike squad to be the justicar as a proxy The nice part about purgation squads is that the armor still looks like regular strikes, so mixing them as I please would be beneficial when playing with list combinations. I have many other models terminators out the wazoo, librarian, GM stand ins, dreads, storm ravens, rhinosrazors, dreadknights. The only thing I really dont have are LRs or henchmen, so my lists can be quite flexible. I just cant decide to go super shooty, or super CC. GAH! please help me decide Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/252487-2-new-boxes-of-power-armor/ Share on other sites
ashen
I say a nice mix of shooty and CC which grey knights do so well. based on what you have I would say go purifiers, they are just such a well rounded unit that you can't go past them. Mr.darkness
I would say magnetize the backpacks so tat they can be strikes, interceptors or purgators. if you are competent enough to do the wrists then then backpacks should be no problem. T3mpl@r Crusade
the exchange rate makes the price the same... not for britain where i picked up most of it. its about a 15% difference before tax :) think ill go with purifiers for these boxes, that way i can squeeze 2 MSU squads of 6 out with some proxy. They sound very fun, and if I need to, I can already make a purgation squad from my strikes Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/252487-2-new-boxes-of-power-armor/#findComment-3063109 Share on other sites
