Huge94
hey everyone A bit of a side project from my Ogre army, I'm painting these Chaos Space Marines in an old, brassy fashion. Looking for advice on my first go at verdigris. here it is: http://img341.imageshack.us/img341/5161/img5978n.jpg http://img221.imageshack.us/img221/1876/img5980b.jpg thanks Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/252503-first-go-at-verdigris/ Share on other sites
Kierdale
I think you did a bloody good job! Not overdone, it's subtle. How did you do it? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/252503-first-go-at-verdigris/#findComment-3063009 Share on other sites
Huge94
hey thanks! The recipe is awfully simple. Basecoat of Brassy Brass, then a 4 for 1 mix of Gnarls Green and Asurmen Blue, thin it down to a wash, apply generously. Kierdale
Ah! Thanks for explaining it. I'd heard a similar method using heavily watered down Hawk Turquoise. Must give it a go sometime. Huge94
yes I've heard the same but didn't have any on hand. It might run a bit more blue though. I have to say I prefer a greenish tone than the blue GW seems to be so fond of!
