Fire Control and Wolf Guard with Cyclone Missile Launcher

I've just gone through the Space Wolves Codex, the GW 1.2 Space Wolves FAQ and searched the B&C forums with no results but I'm sure this has been asked before.

 

When a Wolf Guard in Terminator armor and a Cyclone Missile Launcher join a Long Fang pack, do they benefit from Fire Control and can fire at a third target? Please state a source as I need to cite a rule.

As the WG becomes part of the pack he is subjected to the limitations of the pack.

 

On page 28 it states " .. the unit may split its fire and fire at two different targets instead of one."

 

This means that the unit (including the WG) can only fire at two separate targets, MAX.

That's correct, and the same thing goes for any attached Independent Characters. So, you could have a Long Fang pack, plus assigned Wolf Guard, plus attached Rune Priest (for example). The Squad Leader can't shoot (in order to use the ability), but all of the others can, and you get to assign the shots between whatever two (no more than two) targets you wish, in any combination. You just have to declare which models are shooting at which targets before you begin - no changing your mind once the dice has started rolling, just because you didn't get the results you were hoping for!
