if you could Which board game would you give a 40k reskin?

ie change the boardgames charcters background and story to a 40k setting

I think a 40k arkham horror would be cool

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arkham_Horror

you could have lots of inquisitorial agents and deathwatch marines and grey knights running around

trying to stop the enemy summon greater daemons or xenos gods

I love Arkham Horror and would've suggested it myself if you hadn't.

I'd also like to see 40k Trivial Pursuit, or some take on the Game of Life (if anyone remembers that), only instead of going to college and getting married, life is short and brutal and simply whoever survives longest wins. :P

Hail!

I would love to see Twilight Imperium given a re-boot. Imagine having the ability to crush entire Eldar Craftworlds, lay siege to Holy Terra, explore Necron Tomb Worlds and so on...

Could be utterly fantastic!

Regards,

Master Ciaphas

No contest. Imperium just begs to be redone with Tau replacing Earth and the Imperium (1,000,000 worlds) replacing the Imperium (4,000 worlds). I actually wouldn't be surprised if the boardgame actually inspired the Tau (GW was the official UK distributor for GDW in the early 80s, even going so far as printing some things under license - so the game was likely known to the old hands)

How about a 40k version of Monopoly? You could have Forgeworlds instead of Stations and the chance deck could have an Inquisitorial sanction card instead of Get out of Jail Free.

Ehhh, there's a Monopoly of everything these days. :P

How about a 40k version of Life? Nearly every other square end s with you dying horribly. ;)

Chutes and Ladders, where the goal of the game is to rise from the level of Chaos Cultist to that of a Greater Daemon... ;)

And if you slide too far down, you turn into a mindless spawn! We'll call it Gifts of Chaos ;)

Also, hungry hungry carnifexes and a twisted version of operation featuring fabius bile would be interesting :P

Risk. And to be frank, I can't believe that no one has done a version with 40k in mind. From the Imperial point of view...I have to think that the High Lords command the Imperium's armies just like that too.

And Arkham Horror gets runner up too. What a fantastic game (FFGs is THE board game company, nuff said), and the mechanics of the game could easily translate over to 40k.

Why not Scrabble? Call it Codicier!

Connect 4? Call it Connect Chaos! Inquisitor & Heretic battle to align or prevent the four seals of Chaos from coming together!

Rubik's Cube? Now, it's the Rubrik of Ahriman where you have to realign the chaos runes!

Alien the boardgame.

Oh wait, it is called Space Hulk now. :)

Actually, my first thought was Descent: Journey into Darkness...I like the game system better than that of Space Hulk by a mile, tho otherwise their presentation is rather similar. Also, multiplayer is way cooler.
