help with inquisitorial apocalypse

So i'm planning out a big apocalypse army which is going to be an inquisitorial strike force. My idea is that a powerful lord inquisitor has gathered a large squad of grey knights along with other imperial forces and his own private army and retinue.

I'm going to explain the sort of army i'm looking at and I am hoping for any hints or information you guys can give me or suggestions you can suggest.

The centre piece of the army is going to be a Stormlord super heavy which i'm planning to convert to be something along the lines of a mobile cathedral This is part of my lord inquisitor's own army.

the lord inquisitor's retinue is going to include:

various minor inquisitors, mixtures of power and carapace armour, some leading their own sections and some very minor working in the lord inquisitors own unit.

a fair load of psykers led by a character librarian who is 'on-loan' from a space marine chapter (I need better fluff for that of course, maybe he owes a dept to the inquisitor or something, any ideas that actually fit with the cannon?)

I want quite a few arco-flagellants and daemon hosts and at least one penitent engine, i really like the idea of the ruthless inquisitor punishing wrong doers

I want a personal bodyguard for the lord inquisitor which are based on adeptus custodes (i.e. he liked the idea and kitted his guys outto look like them, i don't know if this is blasphemy or anything) i'm converting these out of some scibor spartan pieces. I think i will count them as purifiers but if there is a legal datasheet for custodes out there i'd love to use them

i don't plan on having crusaders or acolytes, instead i plan to have a quasi imperial guard platoon that is the lord inquisitor's own personal army. These will be joined by a squad of adeptus arbites (just another guard unit converted and painted) and a large section of penal soldiers. the imperial guard army will include a fair bit of mec, nice big guns etc.

I will have an ordo sicarius inquisitor leading (or rather monitoring) assassin temple formations (apocalypse data sheet for multiple assassins with cool special rules)

all these will then be joined by my almost 10K grey knight army

I also have an idea for a much smaller section i can slot in to the army or play more separately:

I'm planning on building a legion of the damned army (including terminators rhinos etc) and to go with them i want to have an ordo obsolestus inquisitor (the minor ordo that investigates LotD) This inquisitor will have his own squad of space marines which are going to be heavily converted. the plan is for them to look like angels of death, so full cloaks, hoods, wings and scythes. to be honest i made one, thought it looked awesome and i'm desparately trying to crowbar a squad in somewhere.

so any suggestions, ideas, dumb mistakes you've noticed? also specifically i was thinking of having an inquisitor in a suit, i.e. a tux like an FBI agent or something, anyone think of a model for this in any range? any way to convert?

also can you guys think of anything more to add in tha`t seems to be missing?

thanks for all the help

Best way to do the Angels of Death squad is to kitbash together a Dark Angels Veteran box or two and a box of Blood Angel Sanguinary Guard, I think. The scythes are the hard part - you can either scrounge off your friends' Empire Wizards boxes (each one has a rose scythe and an hourglass), or you can steal bits from Zombie kits or Tomb Wraiths. The old metal Tomb Wraith (fantasy model) has a nice, hefty-looking scythe. Or you could just look up Reaper or Ral Partha for some weapons kits with scythes in.

You could field them as Damned Legionnaires, or Assault Marines in the Damned army, or as Chosen in a chaos army, or... etc, etc. Lots of choices there. Sound awesome though as long as you can get a scythe to scale.

An Inquisitor in a tux? That sounds silly to me (I believe in you, Sailor Moon!), but to each their own. A quick google netted me this reference archive, which has a lot of image-referenced miniature companies who might have something for you.

way ahead of you there, bought the guard and dark angels already, i'm just still working on the scythes. i hadn't thought of assault damned legionaires, thats a cool idea.

i get the guy in a suit is a bit dumb but i was thinking that he was more there to observe the legion of the damned and not to fight
