henrywalker
http://www.waylandgames.co.uk/images/uploa...or/28FM0043.jpg I just picked this up for cheap and i want to convert a Thunder wolf lord to be a thunder bear lord. I have two issues/questions; firstly modelling, how am i gonna get some legs that will fit him? he's too wide for regular TWC legs. i'm guessing i'll have to repose some but....... secondly and much more excitingly, how am i going to play him?? i was thinking of counting him as a regular thunderwolf cavalry but having a thunderbear datasheet up my sleeve for any apocalypse and friendly games. anyone got any ideas for the rules, BTW i live in Canada and they KNOW bull:cuss about bears. a uk friend of mine said take off fleet cos bears are slow. ;) I was thinking particularly tough and strong but i can't just add stuff on and not take stuff off. any ideas? Marshal Wilhelm
I think they sell them with 'futuristic armoured legs' on them as well. You just need to keep looking, iIrc. henrywalker
unfortunately the legs are out of scale with space marines like a lot of other scibor stuff. they actually sell the bear with a full futuristic celti rider although i don't like the look of him that much Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/252622-thunder-bear-cavalry/#findComment-3065115 Share on other sites

Tybrus
I have always wanted to do this since I saw the model. However, there is one thing that always makes me stop. Bears fight standing up, so a rider would have to hold on tight or fall off. Now they don't ALWAYS fight standing up, but they go between the 2 so fast a raider would get tossed like on a bull. However, if you don't mind that fact, II would pay 75 points more, give +2 str (Not 1) and +2 tough (Making you T6 so no instant death which is part of why so much cost) I also thought of having the option for Carnfix like regen maybe for 40 points?
