warsmith
Hey all, Nice and quick one here - as I read it the codex states that I can have a model in my wolf scout pack armed with both a bolter and a metlagun? Is that right? By my understanding I swap his CCW for a bolter and his bolt pistol for the melta? Anyone else do this in ranged attack squads just to have the option? How do you find it works? Any better ideas? Thanks in advance Dan Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/252738-wolf-scout-armament-question-bolter-and-meltagun/ Share on other sites
Imperial Deceit
Yes you can carry both weapons, but you obviously cannot fire both the same turn, and you lose any CC bonus except the charge. My BA scouts have a similar thing with the sargent being able to carry both a plasma pistol and sniper rifle, even though the other scouts have to give up their shotguns for the rifle. Rune_Priest_Rhapsody
Melta guns are assault weapons. End of Line Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/252738-wolf-scout-armament-question-bolter-and-meltagun/#findComment-3066444 Share on other sites
dswanick
Yes, it's legal - and on a similar note : I have a five-man pack of Scouts with 5X Sniper Rifles, 4X Bolt Pistols, and 1X Missile Launcer using the same mechanic. warsmith
Thanks for the swift responses guys (an apologies for my not so swift appreciation!). I'm glad that I read it right and hopefully it will open up a few tactical ideas now. Melta guns are assault weapons. End of Line I think that Imperial Deceit may have meant that you only have the bonus +1 attack for teh charge and not anything else due to carrying two two handed weapons. Thanks again guys.
