Wow that is a nice find and I can see being very useful indeed. My first go on it gave me this gem!

"Neque porro quisquam est qui dolorem ipsum quia dolor sit amet, consectetur, adipisci velit..."

"There is no one who loves pain itself, who seeks after it and wants to have it, simply because it is pain..."

I'm so going to have to put this on a Landraider or Stormraven.

Thanks - and nice find there ;)

Its actually a rather old text thats been used since forever by graphic designers as 'placeholder text', when the final manuscript wasn't ready ;)

Bear in mind that the BA are a mixture o latin/angelic and rennaisance italian so some Italian phrases or wods coul be good substitutes for latin stuff.

A ciascuno il suo.

English translation: To each his own.

A mali estremi, estremi rimedi.

English translation: Desperate times call for desperate measures.

A tutto c'è rimedio, fuorchè alla morte.

English translation: There is a cure for everything except death.

Batti il ferro quando è caldo.

English translation: Strike when the iron is hot.

Cambiano i suonatori ma la musica è sempre quella.

English translation: The melody's changed but the song remains the same.

Chi ben comincia è a metà dell'opera.

English translation: A good start is half the battle

Chi è causa del suo male piange se stesso.

English translation: He who has created his own evil cries over the same.

Chi non risica, non rosica.

English translation: Nothing ventured nothing gained.

Chi più sa, meno crede.

English translation: The more one knows, the less one believes.

Chi vince ha sempre ragione.

English translation: Might makes right.

Finchè c'è vita c'è speranza.

English translation: Where there's life, there's hope.

Meglio un giorno da leone che cento da pecora.

English translation: Better one day as a lion than a hundred as a sheep.

Occhio per occhio, dente per dente.

English translation: An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.

Più che le parole persuadano gli esempi.

English translation: Actions speak louder than words.

Nice work Brother Captain Kezef. I'm not sure how I'd got about doing this my self, but that is a nice list to get me started! The Italian/Latin is exactly what I was originally looking for in respect of my own blood angel army. Thank you for your input you've been added to the article already.

I've found some good quotes from the last three printed codexs and I was wondering if people would be so kind as to translate them for me in to Latin and or Italian?

“We are the Vengeance of the Blood Angels made manifest. Fear our wrath.”

“No hymn can be so uplifting as the roar of these guns.”

“Drink deep of victory and remember the fallen.”

“Be bloody, bold and resolute.”

Motto of the Blood Angels 10th Company.

Thanks in advance and no worries if you can't. :cuss

“Be bloody, bold and resolute.” - Este cruenti, audaces et certi.

Thank you very much.

Ok I have a nice pile of names and quotes. The list of words is growing, but it's not as strong as I'd like it to be. So if people can think of anymore I can add to the list it would be a great help.

Again this is not all that will be in the Artical just the area I think needs the most work.

Thank you very much.
No problem.

Blood - sanguinem

Death – Mortem

Assault – Impetum

Faith – Fidem

Those are actually in the accusative case. The nominative is sanguis, mors, impetus and fides respectively.
Honour – Honora
Nope. It's honor. Honora is an adjective. It is either the feminine form nominative singular of honorus - honorable or the neutral form nominative or accusative plural.
Vengeance – Vindictam
Nope. Ultio is vengeance

Loyalty – Pietas
Fides would probably fit better. I would translate pietas with piety

Glorious – Gloriosa
yes if you are talking about a female. A male is gloriosus, a thing gloriosum and more than one of either are gloriosae, gloriosi and gloriosa respectively
Weapon – Telum
I would translate that back to ranged weapon. For melee it is ferrum (literally iron).
