hendrik
http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb281/amorfatipictures/SL270960.jpg since a lot of us have already vowed to paint some units/models for the dark angels painting challenge I thought it might be usefull to make 1 topic in which everybody can post his WIP's and completed models. this also helps to keep everybody's blog alive while saving space on the space wolf page since through this way we'll only need 1 topic! ;) the original topic can be found here: http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/index.p...howtopic=252373 as for my wip: here's a wip shot of one of the wolf guard with a powerweapon: http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb281/amorfatipictures/SL270921.jpg edit: some minutes later: http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb281/amorfatipictures/SL270922.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/252777-e-tenebrae-lux-painting-blog/ Share on other sites

Forté
Frosty stein! You have been away. Your room temperature ale is at the bar with your power tankard. It's been pretty quiet so there's plenty to go round too. Even us blood claws have been quiet! KJB
Looking good so far, my Battle Leader is undercoated and I'm raring to go! Anyone using the new paints? I'm torn between the pre and post heresy colours and need a decent recipe for grey... Grey Hunter with Mark of the Wulfen (Note: he has been based, just haven't snapped a photo yet) http://i785.photobucket.com/albums/yy134/Kassill1/IMG_0069.jpg and Grey Hunter #2 http://i785.photobucket.com/albums/yy134/Kassill1/GH1stpack1done.jpg http://i785.photobucket.com/albums/yy134/Kassill1/GH1stpack1done1.jpg More to come! ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/252777-e-tenebrae-lux-painting-blog/#findComment-3067714 Share on other sites
Russ Brother 92
they're all looking gorgeous lads ;) @Old Man ;) Hendrik okay okay haha I'll at least put up the PiP that is my TDA Lord :) *slides a COLD ale over* "don't drink that lukewarm trash" ;) @Forte - *slides two cold ales over* one for you and one for greenhorn when he gets here... @Gizur - your WiP shots only make me want both a contemptor (or three) and the new standard bearer even more, they're pretty ace :D @Kassil - I love your use of marauder bits and your more 'grim-dark' style for the colours. Forté
Like Arez would drink anything I've been looking after him. Ethzor
Here is the day's work! After a lot of curses and pain, accidentaly broke the axe and snipped my finger with the pliers when I did the pin for the fix. http://i857.photobucket.com/albums/ab138/Ethzor/Space%20Wolves/DSC_3052.jpg And from the back http://i857.photobucket.com/albums/ab138/Ethzor/Space%20Wolves/DSC_3055.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/252777-e-tenebrae-lux-painting-blog/#findComment-3068184 Share on other sites
StormDragon
damn you paint fast! looking good aswell! what is he, a wolf guard? I wish I painted fast ;) he was painted fast for me but that's still pretty slow compared to some. Yep he's the first in my 5 strong pack of TDA Wolf Guard. And is that a converted helmet your Wolf Guard? Yeap, much prefer the grey-grey to GWs blue-grey... Studs on legs look fantastic Storm Dragon! Thanks, I was quite pleased with the way the studs turned out. He is the only one in the pack who isn't using Space Wolf legs so he got studs to make them a bit more interesting :) I wasn't sure if painting them gold would be too much, but I like them. @Ethzor - Looking forward to seeing the Great Wolf with some paint on him. Damn slow typing :) How can you have managed to paint him that well in just a day? ;) @gizur - Can't wait to see the Contemptor with some paint on him, and I really like the standard bearer. How many pieces does he come in? I've never managed to find one in a shop to look at :( @Kassill - I'm likeing what I'm seeing so far. I like the grey colour you've got there, much nicer than GW's almost blue grey. Keep up the good work everyone ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/252777-e-tenebrae-lux-painting-blog/#findComment-3068190 Share on other sites
Ethzor
@StormDragon - Thanks, but it's still not done. The thing that bothers me is that the axe-fix is a little crooked! :) I've had a lot of time left over today that's why, this much usually takes me a week, but then I just paint one colour at the time Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/252777-e-tenebrae-lux-painting-blog/#findComment-3068202 Share on other sites
Russ Brother 92
A quick one fellas, has anyone tried the new Admech Grey and know how it stacks up to the 'old' Adeptus Battlegrey? - jw. as I use adeptus as my base colour for the whole army but I've almost run out :/ and Ethzor - blimey! that's one sweet paint job mate, can't wait to see it finished :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/252777-e-tenebrae-lux-painting-blog/#findComment-3068223 Share on other sites
Chapter Master Ignis Domus
I'd say it's almost exactly the same. It's mixed better, though, so I prefer it to the old Adeptus Bats. Kassill
@ StormDragon: Thanks brother! Really enjoying your models as well! Paint faster! ;) @ Russ Brother 92: I feel for you. I was running low on Adeptus Battlegrey last week and thought I'd have to switch, but lo and behold the hobby store I went to still had a bunch of the old paints so I snatched up some more! :P @ hendrik: I look forward to seeing him completed! ;) @ CMID: Good to hear the new version is pretty good. I will have to make the switch soon, especially once I get to the tanks :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/252777-e-tenebrae-lux-painting-blog/#findComment-3068326 Share on other sites
Russ Brother 92
luckily for me I had a look and realised the only models I haven't greyed up are my redeemer, predator and 2 drop pods haha so the rest of my army is all grey :) I concur - looking very nice and await the finished products, just means I need to get my ass in gear haha Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/252777-e-tenebrae-lux-painting-blog/#findComment-3068330 Share on other sites
