Ironwrought Huw
I decided I wanted a bit of a change from my usual black and silver Iron Hands for the E Tenebrae Lux challenge. I thought I'd try something different (but related to Ferrus Manus ;)) - something green. I present my entry into the challenge, one Master of the Forge with conversion beamer and a 5 man tactical squad. I have every intention of adding more to this force, but as I'm in exams until the end of the month, I thought it wise not to pledge too much, lest I suddenly find I no-longer have the time. MoTF - power weapon, conversion beamer Tac squad - sarge with CCW, 1 melta gun Here's what I've got so far - 1 test marine, several legs glued to bases, some heads, a converted head and half of the MoTF. I'll admit I've never painted green before, aside from as helmet lenses. http://i1123.photobucket.com/albums/l545/Huberticus66/P1011839.jpg http://i1123.photobucket.com/albums/l545/Huberticus66/P1011837.jpg http://i1123.photobucket.com/albums/l545/Huberticus66/P1011835.jpg http://i1123.photobucket.com/albums/l545/Huberticus66/P1011832.jpg Cheers for looking - as usual, C&C is more than welcome ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/252849-mean-and-green-sons-of-medusa-on-tour/ Share on other sites

Ironwrought Huw
Thanks guys :) Hopefully I can do their scheme justice with my painting! Well, 3 exams down 1 to go. I managed to get this done last night - work on the MoTF. There's something not quite right with the positioning of the axe hand. The Conversion beamer backpack has been undercoated too. This photo gives a more accurate look at what my green looks like, unlike the last photo. http://i1123.photobucket.com/albums/l545/Huberticus66/P1011841.jpg Cheers again guys! C&C Welcome as usual ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/252849-mean-and-green-sons-of-medusa-on-tour/#findComment-3069324 Share on other sites
Ironwrought Huw
More progress - http://i1123.photobucket.com/albums/l545/Huberticus66/P1011850.jpg The power-axe was made from the techmarine's big servo-arm. The melta-gunner has MK7 legs, MK5 torso, a MK3 helmet and right arm, and MKIV left arm. I wanted him to look like his armour had been damaged heavily during the conflict and was patched up with whatever was available. C&C welcome as usual, Cheers! :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/252849-mean-and-green-sons-of-medusa-on-tour/#findComment-3071039 Share on other sites

Ironwrought Huw
Thanks Ludovic! Bit of an update (I've been moving out of my flat, so progress has been slow...) Sergeant Hastur is built, and painting has started. I think this might be my favourite conversion I've ever done (even though it's pretty rough and not terribly tidy) http://i1123.photobucket.com/albums/l545/Huberticus66/P1011860.jpg I wasn't happy with Forge Wright Lumic, so I rebuilt him. Whilst I'm indeed much happier with him, it has been pointed out to me that he looks like he's shouting "come at me brah" at the enemy... http://i1123.photobucket.com/albums/l545/Huberticus66/P1011863.jpg That's 3 of the tactical squad built and painted - 2 left. After that, they'll all need basing. Cheers for looking again! :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/252849-mean-and-green-sons-of-medusa-on-tour/#findComment-3087241 Share on other sites
Kassill
"come at me brah" Haha, that's great! Really love the dirty looks you've given your models. Looking forward to seeing more. Also, have you posted these in the Chapters of the Badab War thread? I'm sure they'd love it! :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/252849-mean-and-green-sons-of-medusa-on-tour/#findComment-3087370 Share on other sites
Ironwrought Huw
Well errr... finished! I would have gotten this done sooner, but my own absent minded-ness (some might say stupidity), and my camera "going missing" caused me to get distracted from this. Anyway, I've finished my (incredibly small) vow. Thanks Kassill, I wanted to give them a grimy, battered look, like they'd been fighting almost non-stop for a long period of time in a campaign. I'm really happy with the squad leader, Hastur. I know it's not the most impressive conversion you'll ever find out there, but by my own shoddy standards, I like it. Squad Hastur, showing melta-gunner and 3 other brothers. http://i1123.photobucket.com/albums/l545/Huberticus66/P1011851.jpg Forge-Wright Lumic hasn't changed much, only recieving minor alterations to his paint, and a proper base. http://i1123.photobucket.com/albums/l545/Huberticus66/P1011852.jpg And finally, the group photo. http://i1123.photobucket.com/albums/l545/Huberticus66/P1011853.jpg I've enjoyed participating in this (my first ever vow). I'm tempted to start a Sons of Medusa army now... but I may have to wait a while first. Cheers again guys.
