Urauloth
Good gods. Please consider doing a tutorial for the weathering on that contemptor, it's incredible - the illusion of depth on those dents is breathtaking.
Kurgan the Lurker
Just outta curiosity what prompted you to go with bone white rather than pure white as used in their official color scheme?
Master Chaplain Astador
Good gods. Please consider doing a tutorial for the weathering on that contemptor, it's incredible - the illusion of depth on those dents is breathtaking. Cheers mate, I had actually been asked on another forum for a tutorial on the whole scheme in general so I'll be working on the tonight. Just outta curiosity what prompted you to go with bone white rather than pure white as used in their official color scheme? Honestly Kurgan, I'm glad you asked since no one else has. I'm not a huge fan on stark white miniatures. And on this model I wanted him to be weathered and worn as if he'd been in the field for a long time without the proper time to clean his armour. I built the bone white up to pure white at one point and began to weather it from there and that's when it became bone white. Here's a picture of when I first started weathering it was closer to white than bone and gradually became darker as I added more weathering. http://i372.photobucket.com/albums/oo161/WarForgeStudios/e5dbea0a.jpg
Master Chaplain Astador
Well he's home and I took studio photo's. Well somewhat. They're still on my phone until I find my camera. CMoN link http://www.coolminiornot.com/pics/pics16/i...cb09929ab95.jpg Alright I brought the Dark Son home from GW today and took some pictures. He'll be making an appearance at Wargames Con in Austin at the end of the month too. http://i372.photobucket.com/albums/oo161/WarForgeStudios/6f1b6f04.jpg http://i372.photobucket.com/albums/oo161/WarForgeStudios/13ff7be5.jpg http://i372.photobucket.com/albums/oo161/WarForgeStudios/0f1565ad.jpg http://i372.photobucket.com/albums/oo161/WarForgeStudios/b25cfcda.jpg http://i372.photobucket.com/albums/oo161/WarForgeStudios/251e3924.jpg http://i372.photobucket.com/albums/oo161/WarForgeStudios/fac48d46.jpg

Any chance you could maybe shoot me a PM when you post your entries on the Web after Games Day? Oh, and what are those lovely models behind your Terminator? Tallarn Raiders? Master Chaplain Astador
Nice one Astador! I'm looking forward to seeing what you do for the GD. Any chance you could maybe shoot me a PM when you post your entries on the Web after Games Day? Oh, and what are those lovely models behind your Terminator? Tallarn Raiders? Ludovic Cheers my friend! And of course, I'll be happy to share, and my main entry is PA related, so I'll probably post in the WIP log when I start later this week. But in the mean time, you can see my non PA stuff and WIP discussions on my blog on CMoN. http://www.coolminiornot.com/forums/showth...-My-Lastest-WIP And if those were Tallarn Raiders, I would be ecstatic! I love the old Tallarn line, if I had the time I'd paint an army of them! They're painted by the studio I freelance for, for a game called Dust Tactics. Cool models in general and great price compared to GW kits. You can check Lazuli Studios out at this link. And a good search of Dust Tactics will give you they're website! http://lazulipainting.wix.com/lazuli-studi...stc7=exhibition
Renoster
Dude, that rosette needs the flash and mold lines removing and then maybe a wash of some sort.... Oh no, wait... :D Awesome. I only paint TDA, and i wish I had one of them! Loving the individuality, and the damage, not something I'm good enough to apply to my models yet.
