Urauloth
What I ideally want to do is swap a few of the dangling belts on my CSM bolters for sickle mags, so I'm going to invest in some of those I think - I don't know if anyone's tried this, if you have, are there any issues? I'm pretty sure if you snip the belt off you get the same result as if you cut the mag off a regular bolter, so it looks like an easy swap. I'm pretty sure if you snip the belt off you get the same result as if you cut the mag off a regular bolter, so it looks like an easy swap. No issues whatsoever. Anvil Industries Ltd (AIL) products are fantastic, all you need to do is remove the moulded round at the top of the mag - yes AIL mags are loaded! Whilst I'm here I shall add my praise: Quality - Top Notch Delivery - Top Notch Customer service - First Class Price - Damn good Check out their resin bases - they are absolutely fantastic - and nice and heavy. frostclaw222
I've ordered from them at least twice, possibly three times, and everything's been perfect. They even shipped to my tiny little island inexpensively. Only thing I can even come close to griping about is that the chunky boltpistols (which I love) have the dangling ammo belt as a separate component. If they came in one piece, it'd be a lot easier, but that's minor, and for the price/quality, I'm willing to do the extra little fiddly bit of gluing. BrotherCaptainArkhan
Just wanted to throw my 2 credits into this - only recently ordered from them and I can say the service was fantastic. They arrived within two days of ordering. The parts are brilliant and needed next to no cleanup. I ordered the bare heads, the bare heads w/rebreather/grill faces, some drum mags and various other assorted bits. My only minor comment would be that the bare heads need GS to sit properly on a Marine's torso without looking awkward, but other than that they're great. Hope Anvil have more stuff in the pipeline! Would LOVE to see in particular a range of generic (and not so generic - thinking plasma/melta coils) ammunition packs, combat knives and general combat gear at the same scale, for those who like to make their Marines and Guard actually look like they could fight a war. Skoby
I just put in an order for the drum magazines and some spartan shields, were quite a few other bits I was tempted by but since I just lost my job cant buy too much. Their battlecast scheme seems interesting, I've got a few parts I want to get that arent available elsewhere so I'm trying to sculpt it but my results probably arent good enough for them to sell on so wont get any discount Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/252938-anvil-industries/page/2/#findComment-3114386 Share on other sites
Urauloth
I got my order really quickly and the quality is great, good detail, very little flashing. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/252938-anvil-industries/page/2/#findComment-3114694 Share on other sites

neonfunk
Hi guys, I was wondering if you can provide me with some information re Anvil Industries, and in particular, their grill heads: http://anvilindustry.co.uk/index.php?route...;product_id=178 If anyone possess this, could you please tell me whether or not they can be fitted for Geq models i.e. warrior acolytes? or are they scaled for power armour? Thank you for any assistance EDIT: Actually, can I extend my question to most of their range? i.e. torsos such as: http://anvilindustry.co.uk/index.php?route...;product_id=181 are they to scale for acolytes/gaurdsmen? FYI i plan to ustilise these greatcoats for legs: http://www.secretweaponminiatures.com/inde...products_id=460 so.. compatible? Peredyne
For the most part, the Anvil Industries stuff is scaled for power or termie armor. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/252938-anvil-industries/page/2/#findComment-3129181 Share on other sites
Anvils Hammer
Hey everyone, Thanks very much to everyone who took the time to post their positive experiences with Anvil Industry! Its great to get detailed feedback and know that we are getting things right! I have noted down all the suggestions for possible new products. @frostclaw222, the Heretic pistol is in two peices because it meant I could get a much cleaner/total lack of mold line on the ammo belt. @Neonfunk, the bare heads, including the grill heads, are intended for power armour scale miniatures, but are actually about the same size/fraction larger than a plastic cadian head, so by chopping the neck down could be used quite well on a GEQ, so long as the base model is heroic scale like a cadian. The torsos are too large for GEQ models, as Peredyne said 90% of the range is scaled for marine size miniatures, with a few bits and peices for Larger models. I do hope to rectify this soon though with a full line of normal 28mm human size conversion parts/miniature kits. Cheers, Joel Anvil Industry Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/252938-anvil-industries/page/2/#findComment-3129566 Share on other sites
Skoby
I got my order today after a mix up with the delivery (not anvil industries fault) and everythings great, small amount of flash so light it came off with my fingernail. If you're still reading this joel some techy GEQ torsos would be great and would save me scratchbuilding them, my prototype came out hideous . Samnite
Quick question lads - how well do the arms match up on Space Marines? I've used the autocannons in the past but had to do a little tinkering with existing SM arms to get the proportions right. I'd like to use the arms with rifle butts, but can forsee an issue. Anyone tried them? I should also point out I'm very happy with everything I've got from AI so far, especially the cloaks and spec ops kit.
