15mm Blood Angels project

"I am only using a pin and a hobby knife at the moment, I plan on buying a set of colour shapers and wax sculpting tools in the next few weeks, I'm sure they will help a lot."

If you can do this with a pin and hobby knife, you are going to wreak havoc with the right tools!!

Are these guys mounted on pennies and dimes?

Hi guys, haven't done much hobby related stuff this week, the only thing to show is some very WIP shots of my Lemartes, still a lot of work to do on this little guy, he will be the first major Blood angels character. He looks like he has ear phones on, but that will become a halo, I think the jets look about the right size, are they to long? there will be a lot of work done on the back pack yet.

Lemartes is wicked, I've not been posting but keeping an eye on progress

The tac squad is looking really good ;)

Any plans to ever have a game with them VS regular scale 40K? That would be interesting...

Hi Xenth, 15mm v 28mm, my guts would have an advantage with LOS so no games against 28mm...

I think that would work both ways. Normal walls/aegis that 28mm marines can see over, your 15mm will not etc, smaller bases mean more get hit w/blasts etc.

It could be fun ;)

Hi guys, whats next for the 15mm Blood Angels? I am working on a veteran assault squad in jump packs, but there is so much work required in them that I need a break, and I want to do something a little easier, I bought some of Mad robots jump troopers a while ago and have yet found a use for them, they are really nice figures but are on the large side, and I think they will make perfect scout troops for the Blood Angels, and with little conversion, I will need to get rid of the jump pack, add shoulder armour and a couple of other little details, here is a comparison pic with Khurasan 15mm fig, the weapon looks like a shot gun, so I will have 5 with shot guns, 4 snipers, and 1 squad leader.

Hi Darklighter - believe it or not, I see these as "truescale" in 15mm, the SM are much bigger then a 15mm human, a truescale dred is much bigger then the plastic GW dred (or so I'm led to believe) so I think the plastic dred should be about right for a venerable dred.

Hi guys, some WIP pics of my scouts, these are 2 of the shotgun scouts, still working on the snipers, anything I need to do to make them more like scouts? what do you think? should I source some bare heads for head swaps? or are the helmets OK?

Hi guys, I have found some bare heads in my stash, I think they look much more like Space Marine scouts now, now what colour to paint them,? I think the official colours of Blood angel scouts is white/light grey uniform and red armour, are there any other commonly used colours?

LOVING the minis!

a truescale dred is much bigger then the plastic GW dred (or so I'm led to believe)

Debatable, there is an old 3rd edition picture of a marine standing next to a dread that depicts its somewhat bigger but the current plastic venerable dreadnought actually has the pilot sculpted into the torso which makes it the correct size.
