The Broker
Nope. Tyranids got nothing to do with Laer. At least they spoke (or sent dreams) while every possible dialogue with a tyranid ended with a fight. And a vague image of an hungry void. The only temporary alliances made by Space Marines and Imperial Guards with their traitorous counterparts were made against the tyranids. So I prefer to keep them completely outside the other galaxy races. Where does this occur? Olis
Well yeah, there have been a lot of times when renegades would fight with the Imperium. Something that springs to mind immediately are the Blood Knights. They may have been excommunicated, but they're still nominally 'good' guys. KarkassBC
No they were marines, renegade from the Crimson Consul Chapter. But I presumed that uneasy alliances could be made even with Iron Fists and Word Bearers... if the necessity arise... after all the Chaos Gods want followers and an all-devouring alien armada would wipe both imperial and chaos cults. BTW Alpha Legion marines could ally with everyone else... they need only to cover their armor with the right paint. The Crimson Consuls were corrupted by the Alpha Legion. yup it was the crimson castellans, some of them turned to chaos (think they went with khorne) the loyalists hunts the traitors down and engages then in battle and suddenly tyranids appear, loyalist and traitor alike turn their weapons on the nids but eventually all marines fall including the loyalist chapter master and the entire first company. Anvilarium
Also, many here think about what they mean with 'Secret Project'. The 'secret project' was already revealed back in November to be a Graphic Novel based on the battle of Calth. Paksos
TLDR but my view is that Guilliman will try to appoint the Angel as a new Warmaster or Regent of "Imperium Secundus" I hope that's where they're going as I really like the fluff if Guilliman appearing to give up on the Imperium and starting again from Ultramar Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/253235-the-unremembered-empire/page/6/#findComment-3266692 Share on other sites

Rime
There is a pic of The Unremembered Empire floating around. Its HH (unless The Angel is a zombie) and it involves the Ultramarines. But The Angel, dispite being the hero, doesn't look too pleased with the outcome. There is also some armour colors I don't recognise, along with a handful of marines that don't look too pleased. They aren't Death Guard, unless they have red trim on the shoulder guard and other places that I didn't notice before. It could very well be a fallen legion... Time will tell I guess. Marshal Rohr
I like my rule of 3'. People are 6, marines are 9 (armored), Primarchs are 12. But I guess 15 is suitably demo-god like. Definitely have the Xerxes factor going for them. Emperor's Furor
No Imperial Fists died at Istvaan they got stuck in the Phall system. Apparently Roboute had a huge psychic beacon, probably used to get past the storm that developed in Betrayer. So everyone who was trying to get back to Terra potentially could of ended up in Ultramar. Artein
Christian Dunn: As I've been telling anybody who'll listen at Black Library events, the build up to Unremembered Empire has been going on for a while now. Anybody who's already read Graham McNeill's Rules of Engagement, John French's The Crimson Fist, Aaron Dembski-Bowden's Savage Weapons and James Swallow's Fear To Tread should already have enough clues to piece together what Dan's next novel is about. http://www.blacklibrary.com/Blog/ho-ho-horus-heresy.html Those are IF survivors from Phall.
