BassWave
They look awesome as templars! Only thing that bothers me are the head lights on the rhino. Heru2012
Awesome dude! Much prefer these to the sterling silver grey knights! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/253462-a-different-take-on-purifiers/#findComment-3075588 Share on other sites
Son of Carnelian
Man, those are really cool. What a great alternative scheme. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/253462-a-different-take-on-purifiers/#findComment-3077517 Share on other sites
Crimson Hawk
Wow! that scheme looks a lot better that the 'Eavy Metal one, and way more fitting. I might steal that... Master Ciaphas
Hail! Looks great - a lot like the original Grey Knight scheme! Very well done! Validar
Very well done! The flames on the shoulders and on the vehicle are very impressive and adds a perfect touch of colour to the black models. The use of BT bits are also right on target. I do not think the OSL effect on the Rhino is up to the standart of the rest of the vehicle, though. And the nameplate needs to be "filled out" ofcourse ;) Very well done overall! Brother Rylanor
Very Very Nice! Love the skin tone and blades of the weapons. I like them more than the silver standard ones thaT GW paint. Regards. marshall almarich
thanks for the positive feedback guys i really enjoyed painting these guys although the flames sent me half mad to complete the headlights are not as bright as the picture would have you believe and were a requirement of the customer to make sure they fit in with the rest of his army Looks great - a lot like the original Grey Knight scheme! Very well done! that was the original idea behind the squad and im really glad someone picked up on that  again cheers for nice comments guys i can only see the defects with my painting and is nice to feel vindicated :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/253462-a-different-take-on-purifiers/#findComment-3077926 Share on other sites

Taz
Sorry dude, they look like Legion of the Damned to me. Make that crazy Grey Templars of the Damned. Dig the freehand. Fenxis
Sorry dude, they look like Legion of the Damned to me. If you look at the colour plates (in WD) when the Codex Daemonhunters was first released the black & silver was valid alternative scheme... But I think for staying away from LotD pics #2/#4 work way better than #5 (different flame pattern). Sanguinius Chosen Wing
I understand The decisions and love the black but the flames are a little to prominent for my liking but I still think they are brilliant ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/253462-a-different-take-on-purifiers/#findComment-3080698 Share on other sites
AGPO
I love the black colour scheme, it looks very impressive and should make them stand out far more in a regular GK army. The one issue I have is the source lighting on the headlights. It's not the brightness that's an issue, rather it's the inconsistant distance the 'light' spreads from the source. Ron did a very good article on this on From The Warp which I'll dig out once I'm back on my home computer. Essentially you want the light to shine equally on all surfaces from the circular lamps, which means given the distance you've painted that effect down the hull, most of the 'box' containing the lights should be 'lit up.' Other than that, really top work. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/253462-a-different-take-on-purifiers/#findComment-3081061 Share on other sites
Captain Juan Juarez
The first guy, if you remove the blade and put an oar there you could put on a love-boat going down a Venetian canal - he has that vibe ;) Cracking stuff though dude, Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/253462-a-different-take-on-purifiers/#findComment-3081063 Share on other sites
marshall almarich
i see what you mean about the headlights but they had to fit in with the guys army and the customer was really happy with the squad , so happy infact hes just commissioned a second unit to be done. as soon as there done ill put up some pics . i wrote on the name plate on the front and weathered the tracks aswell and i can see the similarity between this and legion of the dammed Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/253462-a-different-take-on-purifiers/#findComment-3081076 Share on other sites
