Very well done!

The flames on the shoulders and on the vehicle are very impressive and adds a perfect touch of colour to the black models. The use of BT bits are also right on target.

I do not think the OSL effect on the Rhino is up to the standart of the rest of the vehicle, though. And the nameplate needs to be "filled out" ofcourse ;)

Very well done overall!

thanks for the positive feedback guys i really enjoyed painting these guys although the flames sent me half mad to complete

the headlights are not as bright as the picture would have you believe and were a requirement of the customer to make sure they fit in with the rest of his army

Looks great - a lot like the original Grey Knight scheme! Very well done!

that was the original idea behind the squad and im really glad someone picked up on that

again cheers for nice comments guys i can only see the defects with my painting and is nice to feel vindicated :D

Sorry dude, they look like Legion of the Damned to me.

If you look at the colour plates (in WD) when the Codex Daemonhunters was first released the black & silver was valid alternative scheme...

But I think for staying away from LotD pics #2/#4 work way better than #5 (different flame pattern).

I love the black colour scheme, it looks very impressive and should make them stand out far more in a regular GK army. The one issue I have is the source lighting on the headlights. It's not the brightness that's an issue, rather it's the inconsistant distance the 'light' spreads from the source. Ron did a very good article on this on From The Warp which I'll dig out once I'm back on my home computer. Essentially you want the light to shine equally on all surfaces from the circular lamps, which means given the distance you've painted that effect down the hull, most of the 'box' containing the lights should be 'lit up.'

Other than that, really top work.

i see what you mean about the headlights but they had to fit in with the guys army and the customer was really happy with the squad , so happy infact hes just commissioned a second unit to be done. as soon as there done ill put up some pics .

i wrote on the name plate on the front and weathered the tracks aswell

and i can see the similarity between this and legion of the dammed
