I'm a little puzzled since our chapter should be frothing at the mouth about everything with wings, but maybe the raven is enough? Little revenge from the priests on Mars? What he said, The melta proof AV 11 hull is of little use, most things still pen it pretty easy. I have enough trouble keeping a storm raven on the board with AV12. AV 11 means the dreaded psyfleman and any Krak missile launchers will smack it with pens on a 4+ Assault cannons on a 6+ and psycannons on a 5+ heavy bolters will glance it. Does it get extra armour? if not then it is not ever going to be an auto include. It makes a Stormravens points cost look gracious for an extra 70 we can carry troops and dreads plus an extra AV1 all round. One thing though I really dont think I want one of them around for too long they are not that bad theres a lot of fire power there, I would not ignore them too long on the board either. DominicJ Posted June 3, 2012 Share Posted June 3, 2012 Pretty much what I thought when I first saw it, its an oversized speeder rather than a chopped down raven I wont buy anything for my speeders (except a MM upgrade) because they drop like flies, this will die just as quickly, at considerably greater expense. If they don't move, they fire their weapons at +1 BS, that's pretty good...however in the next turn they are taken down automatically. :wink: AV11 is kinda ridiculous, especially for the price. The rule that makes them appear next to another deepstriking unit is pretty nice though...target saturation and some fire support the turn you deepstrike. The model...well, you have to cut it up to make it look good. I've seen that in a GW where they left off the hideous assault cannon disc and cut down the tailfin. I'll probably end up grabbing a second and run them as a paired escort for the Raven or air cover for the ground assault. Didn't expect them to be so small though. We're even mentioned in the SM codex, the fact that we have our own codex too doesn't mean too me we are excluded from anything that's in it (and the manager from the local GW shop agreed with that argument anyway). What is in codex Space Marines is irrelevant to us, except for killing it in games. We don't get access to anything otuside our codex.
