TXTOASTRMASAKR
Hello all, this is my first experience with citadel finecast and I'm quite pleased with it. the only issue i really had was it seemed when I was base-coating, the paint would be wiped off or absorbed and it took many coats, anyone else have this problem? Anyways, I hope you all enjoy. http://i1096.photobucket.com/albums/g330/TXTOASTRMASAKR/Helbrecht2.jpg http://i1096.photobucket.com/albums/g330/TXTOASTRMASAKR/Helbrecht3.jpg http://i1096.photobucket.com/albums/g330/TXTOASTRMASAKR/Helbrecht4.jpg http://i1096.photobucket.com/albums/g330/TXTOASTRMASAKR/Helbrecht.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/253511-high-marshal-helbrecht/ Share on other sites
Nightpaw
Looks great! Did you wash the model with soap before priming to get the grease of? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/253511-high-marshal-helbrecht/#findComment-3076225 Share on other sites
TXTOASTRMASAKR
Oh, grease, I see. I actually don't spray my models I prime them via brush and Abaddon Black, but yes it took more effort as I did not think to wash the model, I will remember that in the future.;) Thank you for the heads up! Urauloth
Yeah, you should wash minis of any material to ensure the best painting results, but you HAVE to wash resin (finecast included) and you're almost guaranteed some kind of disaster if you don't. Sounds like you had a lucky escape - if you'd sprayed it, you'd probably be stripping it right now.
