Tybrus
It is well known that when a Full Wolf Pack is graced by an esteemed Wolf guard a member of the pack is pushed aside to make room. In my Wolves of the Blood Oath a great Iron Priest of the Oath, solved this problem. As the displaced brother was a expert in special weapons. The result is the "Uparmored" Fenrris Pattern Rhino. The Iron Priest has added "extra armor" around the skirts, and top, as well as installed a second storm bolter center lined to the vehicle and manned by the displaced brother. This allows the Packs synergy to remain intact, their displaced brother able to lend fire support as needed as well as spot for the other stormbolter. The increased visibility from the added height also allows the gunner to use the machine spirit of the Rhino, as well as the vox amplifier. (Note I have to get a friends camera to get pictures and these are not the best. The Gunner is not off angled as there is a magnet that secures its position. It also can muzzle sweep over the lower mount that can be slaved to the manned position. http://i940.photobucket.com/albums/ad241/Tybrus1/Wolves/P5240144.jpg http://i940.photobucket.com/albums/ad241/Tybrus1/Wolves/P5240143.jpg http://i940.photobucket.com/albums/ad241/Tybrus1/Wolves/P5240142.jpg http://i940.photobucket.com/albums/ad241/Tybrus1/Wolves/P5240139.jpg http://i940.photobucket.com/albums/ad241/Tybrus1/Wolves/P5240138.jpg http://i940.photobucket.com/albums/ad241/Tybrus1/Wolves/P5240137.jpg Thoughts and feedback always welcome... Slyen
I like the idea of a brother marine joining the crew of the squad's rhino however I dislike the storm bolter that is unmanned. It seems like with such a little difference in height that the manned mounting will run into issues with the unmanned. Knights of the Emperor
Yea, I agree with Slyen, perhaps you could make it face the rear? While the other one is facing forward - top cover protecting the rear and front. Though, it may look odd if you just turned him around without having the other marine on the front bolter. Just a thought  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/253537-lets-just-call-it-an-uparmored-rhino/#findComment-3076558 Share on other sites
Castlerook
You do realise you have three photos that are completely identical? But overall, good job. Tybrus
When I get a chance I will post a couple of pictures, the automatic gun is recessed into the hull a bit ad the top mount is not fixed and rotates freely and clears over the other weapon. HOWEVER I do agree that it looks a bit off. I don't know a fix, as they are two separate weapons in the game. I have toyed with the idea of a quad mounted storm bolter for the battle brother but as this would not allow one to be removed with a weapons destroyed hit, it would look much better. Thanks for the feedback so far... When I get my friends camera again ill update this tread. WG Vrox
So far so good, suggest another layer or two of the red on the side of the rhino. Blade looks good as it would have that wear look. Slyen
Perhaps mock up another for this but have the unmanned mount appear as if it is mostly inside the rhino? Like the machine gun mounts during WW2 where all that was sticking out was the barrel. You could use one of the windows to cover that. Like the machine gun mounts during WW2 where all that was sticking out was the barrel. You could use one of the windows to cover that. I had thought about that when looking at the Leman Russ Tanks. If I could get the round part to work, I would love to put the "ball" mount from the WW2 Sherman's. Ill try and mock something up this week and have my buddy bring his camera over this weekend.
