CainTheHunter
Here are my 9 nine fellas (8 Grey Hunters and Wolf Guard Pack Leader). The old Wulfen metal model is currently fighting nids in hostile acetone environment, and as soon as he will be stripped, I will post his picture as well. Meanwhile, You can think that my cat is the last remaining hunter in that pic. To speed things up, I intend to test the dipping technique on my wolves. CainTheHunter
I hope to too. I almost did one yesterday evening only to find out that my Army Painter Quickshade has thickened (did not close lid properly) and tinkering with that substance for the rest of the evening. Somebody on Dakka said that turpentine/white spirit will help, so we'll see. Or I will simply just buy another can of Quickshade. Russ Brother 92
white spirit/turpentine will thin it nicely without losing the richness of the shade  - you'll need to thin it a little each time you use it anyway, as it's liable to thicken quite quickly. which quickshade are you using? :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/253566-my-e-tenebrae-lux-painting-blog/#findComment-3077462 Share on other sites

These cans are quite expensive and I decided to use out my stock of Shadow Grey, before investing into them. Russ Brother 92
the cans last a long time :) I bought one of their matt black ones and it did pretty much 3k ish worth of wolves + 3 pods and still has some left :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/253566-my-e-tenebrae-lux-painting-blog/#findComment-3078064 Share on other sites
CainTheHunter
the cans last a long time :tu: I bought one of their matt black ones and it did pretty much 3k ish worth of wolves + 3 pods and still has some left ;) Yeah, I know - I have their Matt Black, Dragon Red and Chainmail cans ;) Spraying is really easy and it's good for a brand new army, byt seeing most of my SW are already basecoated, I decided to pass on that. But I have to admit that the AP stuff is indeed of good quality! Btw, turpentine really works as charm - even better than the white spirit. I am rapidly progressing with my pack of Grey Hunters (paintjob on two of them is mostly done - one per evening after baby's gone to sleep) and if I get some free time to finish off the bases and decals, I might post some pictures. CainTheHunter
Here are the two remaining models for painting. I tried to be creative with meltagunner. Wulfen will get his backpack after his paintjob. Small WIP picture. So far going smoothly as planned. Rune_Priest_Rhapsody
I really like the 'pointing at you before I melt your face off' pose. I've used it before as well. It creates a good and menacing visual!! I've noticed you use the heads from the upgrade sprue quite often, do you need more?? I don't use mine and I have lots of them (I buy the upgrade for the back pack and the wolf pelt back) if you want them, they're yours. PM and let me know!! Keep it up!! End of Line Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/253566-my-e-tenebrae-lux-painting-blog/#findComment-3080184 Share on other sites
