With 6th round the corner and rumors of Chaos Legions on the rise, I thought it was best to sit down and start again on the ol' Night Lords. The marines met with a bath of Dettol (which is brilliant for stripping paint, by the way) and whilst they soak I'm working on a couple of units I've always wanted but never got round to working on properly. First, is a unit of Atramentar Terminators. Some of you may remember my Atramentar Lord from a while back. After getting hold of that miraculous stuff known as Instant Mold, I've managed to improve the shoulder pads. Here's the first of a unit of 5 to go with my new Lord (who'll be based on Tyberos, Pictures of him when I get round to sorting out the bent lightning-claws). http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/Martox/atramentar_wip.jpg Next is something I've wanted to do since I picked up the kit. I, like most, thought the Contemptor pattern dreadnought kits from Forgeworld were brilliant. It needed a little bit of Chaosifying to make it fit in the force. The image here shows the winged skull, which has been removed. Still mulling over how best to make that. I'm also mulling over whether I should add the trim to the left leg aswell. I'm tempted to turn on forum-mail for whenever a person sends me a pm and have people spam me until I make updates. That might be a motivational tool. Also, paitning will be a little while, as I'll be getting hold of an airbrush compressor at some point (any suggestions on that would be brilliant, as I'm a bit lost on that front.) Just wasn't quite right. It'll look ace if you manage to nail it though. Can we get a better shot of that termies head please? Is that stock or have you done something to it? Cheers. If we get the option for an all terminator force in the new codex these minis would look awesome as an entire army. The contemptor is also looking great. I like the wings on the chest but they just need a different skull. Also trim would look awesome on both legs. Keep up the excellent work! I'm looking forward to seeing some paint on them! Hehe, I spotted you posted him whilst I was at work earlier today. Was quite surprised. He's on my desk at the moment, needs to undergo some re-working and repair. Going to use him as a Berzerker champ for a unit of 'Condemned'. I'll look into a loincloth for the Captain, it's a possibility I didn't concider. Cheers for the idea!
