Valerian's Space Wolves

I bought my wife a new digital camera and set about getting familiar with it by taking pics of my models with it. For those interested, I've decided to create a section in my blog dedicated to my Space Wolves. Right now, it is a list of units with pictures. Later, I'll perhaps add in points cost, and perhaps some discussion on use/tactics. Since 6th Edition should be out by the end of the month, more or less, I'll probably have to start over again with some major revisions.

Valerian's Space Wolves

Enjoy,

Bother, those are amazing!

i wish i had a 10th of your talent!

WLK,

My amazing talent is in making money, which I then spend on commissions for guys with actual painting talent to paint the models ;). I noted it at the top of the blog entry, but I didn't paint any of them myself. I've used several artists over the years, but the fellow who has done all of my recent work is Drew Olds, of Garden Ninja Studios in Utah. I've been very happy with the quality and speed of his work.

Best,

I'm stealing this helmet idea. ;3

Yeah, I really like that guy, too. He is one of the few that I didn't commission, but rather I spotted him on eBay already painted like that a few years ago. I didn't really have a good spot for him elsewhere in the army, so for now he is filling in as a Squad Leader for a Long Fang pack.

I know this doesn't make a lot of sense but when I first say that helmet I was thinking it looked like a psychic hood. So might not be a bad call to represent a rune priest or something.

Thusly shattering the myth that Rune Priests don't tan, they burn??!!

I too love the concept behind said paint job, good job whoever did that, and good job to you Valerian for spotting such a nice looking model.

End of Line

Would also be a great way to pick out MotW models, if you aren't a fan of helmetless models.

Like the pods, keep up the good work.

WGV,

I got the Drop Pods from here, back before GW started producing the plastic kits, six or seven years ago. Looks like they're still selling them, so I should probably pick up another set of three (depending on what happens in 6th, of course).
