Well, thats what i always thought...what youve done here is above tabletop standard! I esp like the way u used bleached bone there...never liked my red weapon casing approach on my dreads in the past, but i saw here red works on white dreads! As well very clean appliance of the transfersheet, not visible at all on photo! Edit: Oh and on your dreads, the metal one is the old normal SM dread? I'm trying out a few bone color schemes. and the transfer..... what transfer? that was freehand.........just kidding. the secret is 'ardcoat, below and above the transfer. it really helps. I am recieving praise from some of the most talented real-world hobby-ist I've come across. I like it here, I think I'll stay a while. third, rainman moment #2 for the laptop. I had hoped to scan in some sketches of what i am planning for my DAngels (sounds soooooo dirty). but I am having issues. oh well, tomorrow is a new day. Pg. 18, "just bring all your collection and play." and pg. 17, "players may field a mixed force drawn from two or more army lists if they wish." Hey this is our hobby, we do what we want...... And, real life happened again. I went Hailbut fishing for fathers day and took my wife to the ER last night. all is calm again and I expect to be painting again today. I simply NEED to finish brother Gabriel(dreadnought) and 5th company master Zacchius. also I will be assembling Zaccheus' command squad and priming them up.......hopefully. I made some headway on the dread body, yeesh those things are tedious to paint! hopefully I can get an update soon. Adeptus-Alaska Posted July 24, 2012 Author Share Posted July 24, 2012 well, here I am again with no photos......sigh. my camera is still retarded, I had a few kitbash comissions, a few painting comissions, and my 7 year old demanding that I work on his blood angels(heretic). what I can say is that I am done with my Company Master, almost done with the first dreadnaught, chugging away on the two chaplains, getting ready to put robes on the DW Command Squad, adding the last details to an Assault Squad before primer, and almost done gathering bitz for my Belial conversion. yeah, I'm sure we are finally gonna get a Belial mini with the new dex, but I want an original one. On top of all this I am also working on my sons blood angels (I promised him), and an Iron snakes tac squad for ETL(why did I pledge index astartes again?) I am getting closer to completion. I have discovered that I DESPISE painting dreadnaughts. But, I think it might be because he was second hand, already assembled and primed black. I might be easier (and more fun) with sub-assemblies. also I bought angel green and skeleton bone army painter spray. that might helps and speed things up as well.
