Dusktiger Posted June 7, 2012 Share Posted June 7, 2012 so this was the vow i made for the painting challenge: "I, brother dusktiger, answer the challenge of the Unforgiven and vow to complete: Tactical squad, 180 pts = (Plasma gun + Heavy Bolter) Tactical Squad, 185 pts = (Plasma gun + Plasma Cannon) 1 Contemptor Dreadnought, 215 pts = (Extra Armor + Plasma Blaster + Plasma Cannon)" the first tactical squad will consist of models made with custom bitz bought through Anvil Industries, while the other will be made from Forgeworld MK5 Heresy armor. the contemptor dreadnought will be a Relic body variant to represent the extra armor upgrade, since its far more ornate than a basic contemptor and there's no separate codex entry for a "relic" contemptor. i'll post photos of the units as i work on them in subsequent replies, with the final shot of the completed vow posted at the end of this first post. Keep it up - can't wait to see the the Mk5 tacticals... I got a thing for Mk5. :devil: Only comment: No so sure on the choice of colors for the base... How come you went for that? Dusktiger Posted June 7, 2012 Author Share Posted June 7, 2012 lol, actually.....i was just asked the same thing by a local artist. i was short a 60mm base so i looted one off another model i dont play anymore, but didnt think to redo the paint scheme. im thinking of changing it to a neutral color pallet, but i have to decide what to go with that doesnt look its just been basecoated and washed. once i choose a new color for the base i'll post an update to it. im working on my mk5's right now!
