Chaplain H: feel free to use the decal idea, it's there for the world. It's the forge world transfers for the termies. I'm rather proud of the camo cloaks, I think they turned out quite well. The Yak Posted June 29, 2012 Share Posted June 29, 2012 Thanks bud. The storm still needs 2 more marines are gunners but I need to hit up a bitz site for that. I found the termies from when I first started and I need to paint them really bad. Bought them used. Hopefully they turn out good. Where's your WIP page yak? I'd like to follow your progress as well. Its coming soon mate, Ive been doing a few test schemes and have built the first tac squad, but dont have to much else to show just yet. My deadline for my work assignments is the 5th of July so once I have got passed that date I will be able to go gung ho. As for your progress... I long ago got lost for words, trying to comment on the sheer velocity you are firing these models out. The scout sergeant with the Imperial Guard powerfist is a great idea as I always thought a standard marine fist on a scout looked a little too big. The Librarians are great and I think I will pinch the idea of using grey knight rear torsos as psychic hoods when I come to do a Librarian model. Kudos to the faces on them they look nice and pale suiting the corax legacy. arizonajirt Posted July 11, 2012 Author Share Posted July 11, 2012 Thanks Yak, I put my heart and soul into my models, lucky for me my wife is usually busy with her university work so I can work in peace. for the glass for my talon I used 3 coats of the blue wash followed by a coat if the gloss coat from GW. the green and red lights are the port and starboard lights you find on watercraft. thought they looked good for that. the talon is really a nice model. if you change a few things on it, it looks better. I left off the little gay antenne off the top and turned the tail around. i think it makes it look better. hopefully my vanguard will get a chance to see blood one day. they were made more for fun than anything else, but I really dont get the chance to play any games, (hense my 0:0:1 gaming ratio) that unit is almost expensive as a 10 man termie squad, so it would hurt so bad to loose them in combat. but we will see. It's still new in box and I won't be able to start on it until tomorrow. I, Arizonajirt agree to all of the same terms and conditions as before, will continue to honor Corax and the Raven Guard, vow a second storm talon gunship with lascannons, for a total of 150 pts, with the same punishment of being a dark angel if I fail .
