Heru2012 Posted June 9, 2012 Share Posted June 9, 2012 Hi guys, just got the bits I ordered last week and I've made a start on some new bits. After spending 4-5 months finishing up my marines, I fancied a bit of a change. Something to push me from my comfort zone. I love converting but can't use greenstuff for anything greater than gap filling, but hopefully I will get to rectify that in my travaille. I will probably end up selling them, maybe keeping a couple if I think I can stand painting an army to go with them! So lets rock on. First up, I wanted to make an Emperors Children Captain, circa the siege of Terra. He has a few mutations, mainly legs and a bit more of an ethereal face, but I wanted to go for the corestty power armour look. He's got his whip, a weapon I think suits slaanesh more than any other. I've also tried to incorporate the eagle still, so it can give a real feel of betrayal and a screw you to the Emperor. I like the banner most, with the eagle holding aloft the symbol of slaanesh. Personally I like the demonic face and legs. And it looks like that whip took the IF's face and leg, like it could really slice through even TDA. Love it. Heru2012 Posted June 17, 2012 Author Share Posted June 17, 2012 Cheers for the comments guys, the legs seem to be a bit of marmite, I wanted them to be a Fabius creation, embarking on his perfecting the geneseed. As for the whip, I wanted to used it for a a daemon weapon, or have it just flexible enough to use as most things that will appear in the new dex when its out. As for colour pallette, I know you should stick to 3 main colours, but I wanted this to be a crazy mess of colours. But I've mainly only used 4 colours anyway!
