Space wolves logan grimmer question

Hi.

I need a highly mobile (irl) list because I live in the middle of nowhere, in deepest darkest China for work half the time, and I want to be able to play a quick game on my few visits to civilisation.

Basically, I want a 1,500 point list with only 18 terminators.

I don't have a codex (can't get one out here!) but I just wondered if the following list is possible. Don't give me points (I know the rules) but I'd like to see some similar lists if there are any.

Logan Grimnar

Arjac Rockfist

4x wolf guard terminators

Rune priest terminator

5 wolf guard terminators

Rune priest terminator

5 wolf guard terminators

Of course there would be a cyclone launcher/powerfist terminator in each squad. What's the best way to go with this? I'm not to worried about it being competitive, but it has to stand against a regular army for a few turns at least. It MUST be only 18 termies max though - so it fits in the smallest KR multicase.

Well, I had managed to write out a long post, but lost it due to browser refresh. -___-

The gist of it was, you're hampered due to travel, by not being able to take a vehicle with you. Footslogging those three packs will get you slowly picked off by enemy heavy support before you're in 24" stormbolter range, let alone melee (where arjac/logan shine) and the 3 cml + 2 RPs likely won't be enough to remove that obstacle.

I understand you're not playing competitively, but with this lineup you'll be hardpressed to win, IMO. I could be naysay'd of course, for all the other loganwing and/or GK and deathwing players, but I believe they're either fielding more than 15 models or still manage to have a mix of vehicular support or something.

I assume your KR case is the "skirmish" model? Definitely won't allow for a vehicle... I wonder if you'd be willing to use paper cutouts to represent vehicles. A drop pod at the very least, imo...

While the idea of a drop pod is an excellent one Wulfebane, d503 would loose the ability to run the CML since he is wanting to run RP's with each pack making them six men strong. Drop pods only hold five models in TDA.

An option to think about is Fenrisian Wolves. They're cheap and can run a screen for your slow units as they trudge across the field.

I usually run Long Fangs at least at 1500, but I usually only take a single RP.

This is a list I have had some success with:

1 Logan Grimnar

5 Wolf Guard

1 CML

1 Wolf Claws

1 Wolf Claw/SS

1 Combi-Flamer

5 Wolf Guard

1 CML

1 Storm Shield

2 Wolf Claws

5 Wolf Guard

1 CML/Wolf Claw

1 Combi-Plasma/SS

1 Chain Fist

1 Combi-Flamer

1 WC/WC

5 Wolf Guard

1 CML/Wolf Claw

1 Combi-Plasma

1 Frostblade

1 Combi-Flamer

1 Storm Shield

1 Dreadnought

1 Heavy Flamer

1 Drop Pod

1 Dreadnought

1 TL-LasCannon

1 Missile Launcher

1500 points exactly

Sorry about the format, it's kinda taken from Excel ;-)

I realise it might be more models than you'd want to carry around, but add in Arjac and/or some priests and you can remove a squad or two.

The dreadnoughts will keep pressure on the enemy at a distance *and* up close.

Four squads of termies will hopefully lead your opponents to spread their fire and allow you to stride across the board like a god of war.

If you don't want to carry a drop pod around with you, buy a Protein shaker, paint it grey with a SW logo and use that. It is kinda close in size...
