Brother Dimetrius
Did you guys noticed that in Feat of Iron when Ferrus Manus saw statues representing Primarchs there was a statue of Janus? Indeed, although the name refers to the Roman deity and not to any hypothetical future GK founder. The statue has been taken as to refer to Alpharius/Omegon. Good catch, I'm now a convert to this theory. Blindhamster
Did you guys noticed that in Feat of Iron when Ferrus Manus saw statues representing Primarchs there was a statue of Janus? the statue of 'janus' is a statue likened to Janus of the roman empire... and is supposed to be alpharius and omegron due to the note about many faces as each of them signifies a primarch. It MIGHT be that it actually is an indication that one of the two will indeed become Janus, but I doubt it. - edit - Hah, I was zinged by Brother Dimetrius Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/254004-knights-errants-grey-knights-during-the-heresy/page/3/#findComment-3204070 Share on other sites

Deathwatch/Grey knight
oh yeah sorry i had a mind blank lol can someone tell me what makes people think that Mhotep, sevatar, Khârn mite be the 8 the only one i could possibly believe is sevatar i mean there really isnt any info about mhotep is there and Khârn hes one of Khornes favourite he died on istvan 3 and got revived and died on battle of terra only to be revived again i mean it would be an epic twist Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/254004-knights-errants-grey-knights-during-the-heresy/page/3/#findComment-3204364 Share on other sites
Chapter Master Kanithon
Khârn can't really become one of the 8 as he's in 40k lore as a champion of Khorne. And as remember it, mhotep died. Not sure about Sevatar, he seems to be the most recent theory but I'm not sure how just weight that theory has. Pulse
Welcome first of all. As for Janus, we don't know. Since he's a psyker he can't be Loken nor Garro but he's probably one of gents hired by Garro. well, considering that loken has been crushed by a titan/falling building, survived a virus bomb,, survived a duel with abby, punked lucius the eternal, took a world eater in cc, pwned the 2 marines the WE was with, and then came back to his sanity with a single sentence... i believe that loken will manifest whatever abilites the BL decides to give him. maybe he is a latent psyker that abilities were brought out by the trauma he suffered in being so awesome. :P WLK Lol much of a whine post? Abaddon was just plain old Abaddon then, yes he was physically stronger than Loken, but so what? The building fell on both Loken and Abaddon when they were in their power armour, they both survived. Lucius was just Lucius then as well, nothing remotely wrong with punching Lucius in the face and beating him. Took on a World Eater in close combat? Wow, because thats never been done in 40k before!!!! :D A manic that comes at you full of anger is likely to get his butt kicked in most fights. Check, check , check! 4. The Half-heard. This is my favorite Astartes captain of the Horus heresy. I have had him on my list of 8 at the start but i removed him later for a couple reasons. Unlike with Loken and Garro, i have not seen ANY hint, not even the SLIGHTEST wink, that Qruze has any mental talent. I also see him as redundant when you include Loken. I would want as much diversity as i could get. Even his age is non unique when Garro is included. I have the Imperial Fist from Burden of Duty here on my list 5. Check! 6. I agree there will be a Thousand Son in the 8 just not /that/ one. When Garro went to get Rubio i had hoped Mhotep would also be rescued. When he got no mention in Oath of Moment/ Know no Fear, i gave up hope on him. Revuel Arvida from the short story Rebirth, in Age of Darkness is my choice for a lil /FLESH CHANGE/ added in the mix. If Garro went to Calth, Isstvan III, why not go to Prospero also? If i were looking for a 1K son that's were i would go. 7,8. Check, check! 9. Well first off..... how is there 9 names on a list of 8? Also this veteran has one foot in the grave. He would have no part in a long range plan of this magnitude. Deathwatch/Grey knight
i agree with Barabas Dantioch being one but im not sure about Revuel Arvida being one - this is the same guy who which i know is irrelevant but he founded the blood ravens Knowledge is power but i still reckon a thousand son has to be one i mean who else would know about the names of daemons and there weaknesses who else would know spells to banish and yadda yadda Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/254004-knights-errants-grey-knights-during-the-heresy/page/3/#findComment-3205560 Share on other sites
Kol Saresk
Wait, when did Dantioch become a candidate for the Grey Knight Grandmasters? Last I heard he was in the company of an Ultramarines Tetrarch, headed for destination unknown after being conscripted to fortify the Imperial Palace. Kol Saresk
Holy multi-post Batman! Yeah, I was just wondering about the reasoning why he was on the guessing list. Although I find it ironic that Omegon is on the list when Omegon is the twin that's pushing things towards Chaos' favor. I mean think about it, the Alpha Legion was recruited by the Cabal to make sure that Horus won and, more importantly, survived the Heresy. Just so the Human race could destroy itself and take the greatest evil ever known with it. Alpharius seems determined to do this. But Omegon killed the Cabal agent that was helping them stay on track. He was probably the one who suggested that instead of just destroying the genetech, they should steal it from the Raven Guard. Not only that, but in order for the Alpha Legion to succeed, they need to act as a Legion. But Omegon is going off starting civil war within the Legion, destroying a warp storm generator and then blaming it on Loyalist forces to his own brother. Between the two, Alpharius is the one who seems mroe likely to be on the list. Just my two bits. Deathwatch/Grey knight
Dantioch is a loyal iron warrior so its a good guess as for omegon your gonna have to look at the topic called A very weird idea I just had to share about Sevatar Khârn is also on the list Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/254004-knights-errants-grey-knights-during-the-heresy/page/3/#findComment-3205736 Share on other sites
Chapter Master Kanithon
Alpharius/Omegon being one of the 8 is an interesting theory, would be a good twist in the story and I can't see it being something Black Library wouldn't consider just to spice things up. However, Khârn can't be on the list, firstly, there's a lot of fluff suggesting that he was at the battle of terra where he was killed and then revived by Khorne. I know Black Library are adding new twists and turns to the whole Horus Heresy series but I don't think they'd change something like that, mainly because that creates his whole profile for him in the chaos codex. My 2 cents. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/254004-knights-errants-grey-knights-during-the-heresy/page/3/#findComment-3205756 Share on other sites
