SkizO
A while ago, I painted a force of 1500 points army for a friend of mine. The army was this one: http://i1134.photobucket.com/albums/m609/HellfirePainting/Hellfire%20Armies/Salamanders%202011/317496_127022644062214_7342840_n.jpg With the coming of 6th edition and the prospect of playing adult-sized battles ( 1500 pts is for girls, right? :( ) he decided to get some more stuff painted up matching the paint scheme of the original forces. BAM! Reinforcements have arrived! http://i1134.photobucket.com/albums/m609/HellfirePainting/Hellfire%20Armies/Salamanders%202011/DSCF1288.jpg http://i1134.photobucket.com/albums/m609/HellfirePainting/Hellfire%20Armies/Salamanders%202011/DSCF1279.jpg http://i1134.photobucket.com/albums/m609/HellfirePainting/Hellfire%20Armies/Salamanders%202011/DSCF1296.jpg http://i1134.photobucket.com/albums/m609/HellfirePainting/Hellfire%20Armies/Salamanders%202011/DSCF1298.jpg http://i1134.photobucket.com/albums/m609/HellfirePainting/Hellfire%20Armies/Salamanders%202011/DSCF1300.jpg You can see a bunch more shots on the Facebook Gallery here. Olgerth Istaarn
I like this color for Salamanders. Definitely a less obnoxious and more industrial shade of green. Brother Nezulius
I love this kind of green instead of the venom green candy coated marines. Looks much more like a real army would use. Thumbs up! Mine are venom candy coated and obnoxious! But I agree that these are an excellent industrial looking army. The rust and wear on the drop pod is magnificent. Movie prop quality! Kierdale
As others have said, that's a really nice colour. Grim n' dark. Show us more! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/254157-salamanders-army/#findComment-3086428 Share on other sites

Ecritter
Okay, looked at the additional pics on the facebook account ... still loving them. Finally got a good look at the Captain/CM ... love the modeling and painting. Got one small question though. It appears his gun is attached to the inside of his wrist ... how functional will his hand be if that is the case, and will he sometimes singe his fingers? :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/254157-salamanders-army/#findComment-3089451 Share on other sites
BassWave
Your lack of obsidian skinned, red eyed marines is disturbing... But that small detail aside, these salamanders are awesome! Great work :tu: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/254157-salamanders-army/#findComment-3089519 Share on other sites

They really wanted him to roast his fingers off? :) Well models are awesome, even with that one odd thing I noted. Quixus
They really wanted him to roast his fingers off? <_<Roasting a Salamander? Hah! At least according to Nick Kyme. Also the sheet with holes around the nozzle is a cooler. What I find more disturbing about the design is that mounted on the inside of the gauntlet, the hand loses functionality. So he can't use the spear with two hands or do anything else with the left hand.
