nurglespuss
OK guys - I have a an ongoing army blog int the Blood Angels forum, but thought I would do a seperate little thread for this dreadnought :) Any opinions/criticisms welcome. I'm unlikely to physically change much (as it was a little fiddly to do!) but any ideas/tips etc welcome! Its a death company dreadnought Currently waiting for wash to dry so I can edgelight armour and start on skulls, weapons and all those red 'X's ;p http://i651.photobucket.com/albums/uu240/nurglespuss/IMAG0540-1-1.jpg http://i651.photobucket.com/albums/uu240/nurglespuss/IMAG0603.jpg http://i651.photobucket.com/albums/uu240/nurglespuss/IMAG0604-1.jpg
dizzy-xc
Nice conversion of an OLD model... I have 3 of those and I'm getting ideas on how to better integrate them with the awfully large newer dread cousins.
The Yak
Nice work. Good to see the old legend getting some love. Looking good, will be good to see this fully painted up. Cheers
nurglespuss
Cheers both! Yup, I've got a couple still sitting in the bottom of the bits box that I might go back to and try and strip/save :) Its surprising how big they look on those dread bases with minimal additions really :) Here's a quicky, justabout finished his 'face' I went classic as it looks quite savage and death companyish? http://i651.photobucket.com/albums/uu240/nurglespuss/IMAG0616.jpg
Odsox
...it looks quite savage and death companyish?http://i651.photobucket.com/albums/uu240/nurglespuss/IMAG0616.jpg ...if you think pink and purple lipstick is savage, then yes, I suppose. o.O; Lovely conversion though, and I'm really digging the skeleton on his left shoulder. Looks great! Makes me wish I had one of these myself so I could Khornify it. Od.
nurglespuss
Cheers! LOL, yes I don't know what happened in that phot ;p - More Eddie Izzard than Death Company ;p http://i651.photobucket.com/albums/uu240/nurglespuss/IMAG0621.jpg hanks! I wasn't sure about the skeleton, but seems to work ;) just waiting for wash on the bone to dry so I can re-highlight it, then onto mechanical bits/guns, scroll and skeleton wings, armour edgelights in some areas, and then to dwell on the idea of blood splatter or not... Cheers!
Imperial Deceit
You should name it that. If their is any comedian worth immortalizing in a dread, it would be Eddie.
