Ovidius Incertus
What's the best way to magnetize a CML for a termie without butchering either the mini or the ML too badly? CainTheHunter
What's the best way to magnetize a CML for a termie without butchering either the mini or the ML too badly? Your best bet would be to do this BEFORE You assemble the terminator, so You can get a better access from the other side. You will either need one strong (and quite thick) magnet, which probably will be even thicker than Termis plastic spine. To ensure it stays where it is, use greenstuff for support from the inside. Or alternatively put two smaller magnets on each side of his spine - this variant probably will be more stable. And don't try this with old metal cyclons - they are too heavy for this. Tanhausen
Easy peasy! I use 2mm magnets: 1.- drill a hole on the hunched part of the back, almost on the border. Press the magnet inside and you're done (its tight fitting) 2. between the "legs" of the CML, make the separation a bit round with the drill and tight fit the magnet there. You're done. If I remember I'll post pictures this week :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/254348-magnetizing-a-cyclone-ml-on-a-terminator/#findComment-3089158 Share on other sites

Tanhausen
I did a few CML for my deathwing and did it like this...as said, I'll try and get pics later/tomorrow/someday ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/254348-magnetizing-a-cyclone-ml-on-a-terminator/#findComment-3089229 Share on other sites
The Ginger Avenger
I found 2mm magnets just a tad too big. As a solution, I tried pinning it instead. I drilled a hole using a 1mm bit in each of the "mounts" on the top of the back, then corresponding holes in the grooves on the CML. I inserted small lengths of paper clip into the holes on the CML, sticking out just past the bottom of the grooves, and secured them with super-glue. It worked beautifully.. striker8
I used 1/16" DIA magnets, two in holes drilled into the hollows of the legs of the launcher and set flush or slightly below the botton of said hollow, and two drilled into the little pegs on the back of the termie. I let the ones on the back set slighly higher(paper thickness or so) than the pegs so they lock into the holes in the launchers. You never see the magnets in the launcher unless you're looking for them, and the ones on the termie body blend rather well with the existing pegs.
